This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger

I am currently fostering Storm a male english mastiff about 6 years old. I have a female Great Dane that is 4 years old and she is a certified therapy dog. I have only had Storm for a short time, he was a breeding dog for a puppy mill and was recently neutered. It is clear from his condition that he has had a tough life.rnHe sometimes attacks my Great Dane without warning, and there is no way to predict when it will happen. He appears happy to see her and will act completely fine in her presence most of the time, but sometimes will just lunge at her when she walks by him. She is now fearful of him and does not want to be in the same room as him. Even when he is in his crate, he will growl and lunge when she comes by. He is great with people and super affectionate and I was told he will be put down if this aggression continues towards other animals. Please provide me with some advice to give this boy a chance at a good life.

This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Separation Anxiety

Carmen was dropped off as a puppy. She was afraid of almost everything but connected with me and like out bulldog/beagle named Bub. Carmen started warming up to more people but someone came up behind her trying to catch her and she bit. She is real weary of kids so we keep her away but she seemed to get a bit better. Carmen is an old soul and is the sweetest dog I know but does have anxiety in unknown area. When we kennel her she usually kennels with Bub as she feels more comfortable. We have an eight month old and Carmen loves him. She is always laying by him and licks him. Recently he has begun to move around. At times she is fine but he moved over to her and grabbed her back. She snapped at him and almost bit him. I love my dog but I don't want to have anything happen to my precious little boy. We can't just give her to anyone as she has to be around you a lot to warm up and trust you. I would want anyone that has kids to take her either. She would do great on a farm as she loves being at my in-laws but I would be worried what she may do when we visit. I would also be worried to take her to the pound as I don't know if she would be adopted due to her nervousness and trust. Any thoughts would be great as this is tearing me up.
