Hello,rnI have a question how I can break my dogs aggressive and irritating behavior. First off, we had a rotti that we had to get rid of because ever since I had my daughter he started growling and even snapped at her. Now, I had my chessie while my rotti had this behavior. My chessie was great with my daughter when she was a baby. But when we moved about 1 year and a half ago, after getting rid of the rotti, my chessie started the growling just like the rottie use to. She doesn't snap ever, when you think she will she barks instead. She also does this to other dogs and I see that she is territorial because she does this when she is in our bedroom or laying down somewhere. She also barks at any little sound. someone can drop something or walk down the steps and she barks. How would i go about taking care of this behavior? we have a new puppy now and would like to break this habit soon. shes only an angel when we have the shock collar on her. But I don't want to have to have it on her all the time. Help!

I have a 5 year old son and every time he gets up and walks around Clara grabs his pants, shirt, socks, whatever she can grab and tugs him and starts to growl. She seems to be playing but my 5-year-old now doesn't want to get off the couch for fear of getting nipped. The only way she currently stops this behavior is if I stop what I am doing and "guard" my son by putting myself in between my son and the puppy and then she will back down but as soon as I walk away she grabs him again. What is the best way to stop this behavior?
