My neighbor just came over to tell my that my dogs bother her and her kids when they are in their backyard. They bark excessively when they hear people in the front or back of the house. (whether our yard or not) We have an automatic dog door so they can go in and out when needed. How do we stop it?

I have three dogs. The first one I got is a male 1.5 year old american eskimo that was neutered a couple months ago. The next one is a female, fixed, rescued husky/malamute mix who is now 6. The last one is a female black lab who will be a year old at the end of the month rnrnMy main problems are with the american eskimo. I made the mistake of babying him because we got him when my husband and I moved across country to his post(he's army) and Squirt was my only friend here for quite awhile. Now he is very possessive over me, we go to the dog park almost every weekend, he has always been socialized with dogs, people, and very young kids. He is fine with most dogs, but he does not like the dogs that try to get into his face all the time. He actually doesn't care about most dogs being near me, unless if they have already tried being in his face (always in a playful manner). I'll say he does take a lot from those dogs though, if they're just following him around he will try to do a lot before getting mean. The stance, the get away from me growl, I let him jump into my arms now and then to get away from them, but if they don't leave him alone he'll "attack" them. I have never actually seen him bite them, he just gets loud and throws himself at them. I am actually proud of him for how much he takes firsts, but I cannot have him doing that and I cannot let him be possessive over me when a dog annoys him.rnrnIt seems like the dogs this happens to are males, not neutered, and of specific breeds. I could be wrong though.

We are the 4 or 5 home Charlie has been in. When he is sleeping, which is usually under my chair or under the hassock my feet are on. if I move or make a sound and startle him he bites me. Also when he is giving me kisses on my face, he bites me all of a sudden for no reason. I am ready to give him back to Animal Rescue where he began. He's the cutest thing and I hate to give up on him and we did hire a trainer but she has only been here once. I am getting very disallusioned about if there is any hope for him. Should I be patient and continue with the training and how long should I wait before I give up hope for Charlie?

rescued at 8wks from local shelter. for the most part very well behaved-eager to please & affectionate. in the past year he has begun to growl at people(no family members) or other pets(dogs & cats). he does at times have some leash aggression toward strange dogs. and also at nite he is very alert n cautious(?suspicious of strangers?) he has never bitten, attempted to bite or even nipped anyone or anything. I want to know how to stop this behavior-I don't want ANYONE to be afraid of him because that is not who he is! PLEASE HELP!
