I took Kong in as a foster dog and fell in love with him and decided to adopt him. I've been told that he has been through training to be a service dog and he knows all of his commands in German (which I do not know). He is a great dog and minds very well, even my 12yo and 6yo, however he barks constantly when he seems someone through the window or hears something. Is there something I am doing wrong and how can I correct this behavior. He is very protective of the kids and I, if someone comes over that he does not know he will growl until I tell him to stop, then he will not leave our side until that person is gone. He loves his tennis ball and he will normally warm up to people if they play fetch with him, but only after I tell him that they are ok. rnrnThank you in advance, rnRenae

We adopted him from the humane society. They said he was a mixed Australian cattle dog w red tick but he squeaks before he barks. Was very sweet when we got him and walked well but got scared of a loud noise and wind. Now he's pulling on the leash, trying to eat bark under the trees. I'm at my wits end. We love him but are seniors. He's very energetic but seems to want to nap during the day. Almost getting aggressive at times especially during play. At wits end!

I am having problems with potty training my small adult dog. He is having problems staying home alone when we are gone to work or even short trips when left unattended. Is this fixable?

Sandi is new to our household. ( 2 months) When lounging around Sandi sometimes tends to get on top of me and try to dominate any movements. She will continue this until it results in over the top rough play. She also tries to puppy bite when you try to pet her. It seems she wants affection but wants to show you who's in charge. At times she is very defiant, yet at other times is great. I can't seem to figure her out. rnBill
