This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Hyperactivity Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks

Khane is a 70lb Pit Bull/ Labrador mix. He growls and barks at everyone except my boyfriend, my son, and myself, but he doesn't act that way all the time. He really is a sweet dog, but can be very unpredictable. I love taking him to the dog park, but he has the same issue with other animals. He's only a year and a half and I'm afraid his behavior will only continue to worsen.rnrnHe also has an issue with jumping. He's very active and it seems that he never runs out of energy no matter how much he runs and plays.rnrnI want to take him to obedience classes, but am fearful of his aggression towards others.

This question is about: Puppy Management

I got my pup when he was 5 days old. He is now 5 (almost 6) weeks and doing great! Since he lost his dam and littermates so early, it's on me to teach him manners and such. However, I've never had a dog this young. I don't want to expect more from him than he's capable of at this age but I also don't want a spoiled pup. His vet is concerned about his immunity so doesn't advise his being around other dogs until his vaccinations are complete. I could use some guidance about correcting him when he needs it until he's cleared to take obedience classes. Thank you!

I want to know if u know of anywhere that I can go to become a trainer

This question is about: Pulling on the Lead

Artemis is still a puppy and does not begin her puppy kindergarten for a few more days, but she is very unpleasant to take on a walk. She does not fight her leash but also does not listen and pulls horribly. I fear that she is going to hurt herself pulling. Do you think it would be beneficial to switch to a harness with her leash versus the traditional flat collar?

This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Barking at people, dogs, animals, birds or where the dog barks for attention or at the slightest noise Other

This isn't "my dog"... But I'm trying to help her. I am a kennel technician at a low funded shelter... She was never socialized with people except her previous owner, and then was turned into the shelter upon the owner becoming homeless. She would not allow anyone to touch her at all, and would snap at people if they tried. rnIt's been a month and she finally will come close enough to me to get a slip lead on her to be lead outside. She had to be muzzled to do vaccines and get heartworm tested...rnI'm just looking for tips to socialize her without traumatizing her more than she is. Shelter life is no life at all, but she won't be adopted how she acts currently. rnAny and all advice would be appreciated so that I can find her a for ever home. rnThank you.
