Tia asks...This question is about:
Hello my name is Tia I have four dogs living in my house. A small yorkie who came when my grandmother moved in, a small miniature schnauzer, a new lab puppy, and an older 14 year old Australian shepherd mix, Gemini. About 2 months ago our older dog Sierra who was Geminis companion for many years who unfortunately was hit and killed so we thought it was a good idea to get him another companion because he is fond of the two smaller dogs. When we brought the puppy home she brought kennel cough which she gave to Gemini. Gemini was nearly in his death bed. We got him on some antibiotics and he is now almost back to where he was before but unfortunately his hearing went with the antibiotics. In the past he's been able to put up with the schnauzer and the puppy with a little growling but nothing more, until yesterday when he charged the schnauzer and had her by the neck nearly killing her. My dad wants to either surrender him or put him down but I feel he is near the end already with his age and I would like him to finish his life here at home if possible. Is there anything we can do to help this situation?rnThank you

Circumstances have made it necessary to bring older dog into my home. I have 3 dogs of my own. He is agressive towards my yr old male even though he is submissive towards him. How do I stop this action? My other 2 dogs are spayed 4 & 6 yr old females. He has no issues with them. I am afraid of all out dog fight. Getting rid of either is not a option.

We have two dogs, memphis, who we have had over a year, and dutchess, who we very recently rescued. It seems like they will be great pals, except dutchess is very aggressive during meal and treat time, but only to memphis. I can stick my hand in her bowl and take it no worries. But if memphis gets near she bares her teeth and growls and nips. What can we do to curb this behavior?

Bentley is doing great with house training learning to ring the bell when he has to go potty however at night when we crate him he goes in his crate. On nights that we let him sleep with us he does fine and holds it all night. Is there something we can do with the crate to get him to stop going in there? I have tried feeding in there, putting blankets that smell like us in there to make him comfortable. Tired of waking up in the mornings and having to bathe him everyday.

He constantly tries to play really aggressive and when I try to stop the play he lunges at me to bite or if I turn my back to ignore him he bites my legs.
