I have a soon to be 2 year old son and the dog is not mine persay, she is the household dog, mainly belongs to my stepmother. The dog continues to jump on my son and today left a very large and deep scratch down his entire face that broke skin. How do I stop this behavior and show the dog that my son is above her and not another pack puppy? I want this behavior addressed before she gets older and even bigger, while my stepmother would rather let her get older and teach the dog as an adult, which makes no sense. Thank you for your help

I am sending this message from India. We got Phoebe home when she was 2 months old. She's adorable and we love her to bits. She is house broken and we have trained her with basic commands (like sit, stand, lie down, roll-over, paw, high-five, stay etc). She follows them beautifully. rnThe problem is taking her for walks. She gets hyper about everything. If there is a cat or a dog (there are plenty of stray animals in India) on the street, then we'll have a tough time holding her as she begins to pull, jump and run towards other animals. It has reached a point where I can no longer take her for walks - only my husband can. Not that she listens to him, just that he is much stronger than me. I tried several youtube videos and other articles, tried with correction, treats while walking. But nothing worked. rnShe also gets hyper when somebody comes over.rnShe is walked twice a day for about 30 mins.rnPlease help.

I adopted a beautiful female chihuahua 2 years ago. She was a year old when I got her. She was very shy with me at the beginning and instead of attaching to me, she got very attached to my female senior yorkie. Well, my yorkie passed away a month ago and I thought I could try and get attached to her, but she refuses. She runs away from me and hides. She does not respond when I call her and this is frustrating me. I kind of let her get close to the senior yorkie because I was not at home so much. But now I am retired and I want to get close to her. I want her to wag her tail and run to me when I get home, but nothing!!!! What can I do to get her to like me? Please help!! She does not even walk on a leash!!
