We got him a year ago. I made the mistake of him people scraps since he was a stubborn bigger. Now all he wants to eat is people food. He prefers chicken. My husband says he will not starve his self so I don't need to make him special food. Please help me retrain him to eat dog food. The are very stubborn breeds. Thank you

Hello! rnSo I have two older dogs, one is going to be 13 (he's a very happy dog and loves the 5 year old dog) this year and one is 5. They have always gotten along and we even had a dog who had passed a few years ago who got along with our 13 year old and our 5 year old dogs. We just got a new puppy who is only 9 months. At first, both of my older dogs would bark continuously at our new puppy. We took the 5 year old and the puppy outside to play and after that they're fine and don't bother each other. Our 13 year old dog won't stop barking and chasing the puppy. The puppy does nothing to antagonize him, she just walks into the room and he goes crazy and just barks and barks and won't stop until we distract him with food. We've been going into a bedroom with the puppy and keeping her away from our 13 years old as much as possible, and even though we've only been dealing with this for a day, we want to get ahead of the game and resolve this as fast as possible and dial down the stress for our 13 year old. We just want to not worry about our dogs not getting along and we just want to all be in the same room with all three dogs. We, of course, would never think about getting rid of our older dogs but we all already love our puppy. rnwhat should we do?rnThank you!

Millie is dog aggressive and is extremely difficult to handle anywhere near another dog. Can this be something that training will eliminate at her age?

I'm housebreaking my 10 week Morkie puppy. A trainer suggested I utilize the crate (as I'm trying to crate train also). To crate him until he needs the toilet: every 2 hrs, after naps, after meals, etc. and then reward with a walk/pen time (15 mins) when he goes potty outside. But I feel confused/terrible because that places him in the crate for the majority of the day and night, and boy sometimes he screams! I know I need to be strict now so that he can have safe run of the house sooner when he's older and trained, but it still feels weird to keep him crated for such a large part of the day and even when I'm home. Am I mistaken and should keep with that kind of schedule, just be strict about it?
