This question is about: Other

We just picked up a 3 year old Golden Retriever female from a kennel who retired her from breeding. She has lived in this kennel for all of her 3 years. The problem is she is very timid and submissive to the point to where I have to literally pick her up to take her out to potty and do the same to bring her back in the house. As soon as you get close to her she lays on her stomach and will not move...even with treats. Is she damaged merchandise or is there a chance she will start coming out of her fear of her new surroundings and what can we do to help her?

This question is about: Toileting

Hi. My dog was never trained to go on puppy pads. She won't go outside and as soon as she comes back in from a walk she tries to eliminate on the carpet. It's very hard to outside train her. Any tips? Thanks! We offer her praise with treats but that doesn't seem to work.

This question is about: Barking at people, dogs, animals, birds or where the dog barks for attention or at the slightest noise Separation Anxiety Toileting

She has bad separation anxiety whenever mommy leaves the house, me. We go out and she leaves us several poops around. On tile flooring. She has rapid heart beat and wet whiskers from panting so much. She barks and cries as our neighbor had heard her. She won't drink or eat treats left for her until we come back. She is well trained and socialized since four months. Not destructive at all. Vet has said this is what she has. I've just been given some medication for her for next two months. I just need more help in training her so she knows we will come home again. Help!
