I live in Italy.I'm the ultimate animal lover. I've worked with animals as an assistant vet for ten years but overwhelmed with a stray dog we took off the streets 3 months ago. Now he is around 17 months old and yesterday got loose and killed a kitten not far from from our home. Towards humans he is very loving. This outburst of aggression has left me and my family heartbroken. When he gets loose he doesn't listen!! Won't come when he is called. rnI have made an appointment next week to have hime castrated. I also have two cats of my own and am very worried that the aggressiveness will continue even after the castration. PLEASE help me. What can i do?

Daisy, lab & chow mix, has siezures every once in awhile. Libby, sheperd & chow mix, seems to attack her, and the two fight. After separating, Libby calms down, and Daisy's siezure passes. It seems that Libby is not trying to hurt Daisy, but trying to get her to get up. Daisy obviously feels vulnerable and thinks Libby is attacking and protects herself. How can I get Libby not to approach Daisy when she has seizure? When both are fine and have no problems, they play and work together just super. Libby is alpha female, although Daisy does stand up for herself if enough is enough.

Winter has never showed any aggression to people or other animals until 2 days ago. She got off her leash and ran around the farm. My husband tried to get her but couldn't find her until her heard the goats going crazy. She attacked and almost killed a goat, and also went after a 500 pound young bull. We got her back in and today when we took her to the vet, she growled at the vet. She just came into heat. Can this make her this aggressive? And would a shock collar help? I owned two siberians before this that never were like this. I know the breed can be hard to train, stubborn, etc. however, I do not want to get rid of my dog, but don't want her to become aggressive to my children.

I recently inherited a 2 yr old great dane from a family down the street from me. Everyday she looks out the window and whines. We recently ran into the old owners daughter and Marnie loved it, she was wagging her tail etc. Once we separated and got home she whines and paced for a long time. This daughter offered to come by at lunch and take her out while I'm at work is this a good idea? I don't want to get her all riled up and then sad.

Recently my dog has started growling at me whenever I start petting him while he is chewing on a bone. We have had him for 5 years and he has never exhibited this behavior before. He does not growl at my husband though. We are expecting our first child in a few months so would like to get this fixed as quickly as possible. What can we do?
