My border collie is almost a year old and has just started agility training. that is about the only time he listens and comes when called. The moment he sees an animal that he thinks needs herded, its like he goes deaf. just before writing this i was putting him in his kennel at that same time he decided that the chickens needed herded. I could not get him back even as i called him as loud as i could. This happens very often with horses, sheep, cars cows and anything else that moves. how do i stop this?

So im trying to train my new puppy, and i first i thought she was deaf because when i or anyone else for that matter whistle or clap or something she has no response whatsoever. She used to only respond when id yell very loudly so i started talking louder so she could hear me. Now i notice she does hear me i think shes just ignoring. What should i do about that? Also im teaching her to sit im only one day in and i looked up videos and saw im using the wrong hand signal. Should i change it now or just keep it? I dont want to confuse her but i want to use correct signals. I found out ive been using the down signal for sit. Last, i wanted to know what i can do for her attention. She doesnt respond to whistles or clickers or clapping or waving. She gets distracted very easily and its almost impossible to reclaim her attention once its lost. I have to grab her collar and pull her head to look at me but then she gets scared and refuses to listen after. Thank you so much for your help hope to hear back soon!

My one year old Terrier mix is my third of three small dogs. I have a 4 yr old terrier and a deaf 1 yr old maltipoo. The problem is the little one is very jealous of the maltipoo. Whenever I give any attention to the Maltipoo the little one gets very aggressive towards him. I have had to separate them several times and now the Maltipoo is afraid of the little one. I've had both of them for the same time. The Maltipoo was here a few months first. They both get along fine with my older dog,as he is the alpha among them. How do I stop this jealousy the little has toward my Maltipoo? I must add that it's not all the time. They all play together great 90% of the time, but it's just those times when I'm paying too much attention to my Maltipoo that the little one becomes aggressive, and it seems to be more at night or in the evening when he gets like that.
