This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Hyperactivity Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks

My dog Chaos is a Black Lab/Pitbull mix that my husband rescued from the side of the road after his mother was hit and killed by a car. He is a good dog, very loving and friendly, and learning his commands and obeying very well. My problem is his jumping. Not matter how many times we say DOWN with our firm voice AND accompany it with a hand signal, he still jumps constantly!!! I have figured out that he wants you to come down to his level and give him attention but, I can not allow him to jump on everyone ALL the time. We have been training him with the same word of DOWN and hand signals for 7 months and he will just not listen! What do we do? Also, I purposely pet him while he eats and when I get to close to his face he does growl/bark at me. What do I do to break this? What training technique can I use?

This question is about: Toileting

Pepi was paper trained when I got him at six months of age. He is very smart and has learned easily except he still poops in a corner in the living room. He pees outside and also poops outside but at least once a day poops in the corner. I would take him outside if I caught him but I never do. He sneaks I think. When I pick it up he runs into the other room even when I don't say anything. The room smells bad and also I'd like to resolve this. He's a wonderful loving pet.
