Our dog Maize responds to the normal dog command of sit, stay, lay down, come, etc. rnOur problem is she is very protective of our family. If someone walks by our house she barks. If someone walks by our house walking a dog, she bark, spikes her hair, growls, and runs to the street at them. She has never bitten anyone, however it is very scary especially for the dog walker. We have tried to not allow this to happen by installing a fenced back yard and going outside with them when ever they are transitioning from house to yard etc. occasionally she still gets out And this happens.

I have a boxer that's been going to doggy daycare since she was 6 months old. She goes 5 days a week while I'm at work. Here within the last few weeks they said they have had problems with her getting aggressive with other dogs, but not on a daily basis. They said she was holding one dog down on the ground and has been in a few spats with other dogs. She has never left any marks or puncture wounds on any of the dogs she's fought with. Not sure what to think, I have 5 other dogs at home and have never had any problems like this at my house. Need help, she could possibly get kicked out.

I adopted a run-away dog about 6 months ago. She is great with my children and always quiet when she is inside, when we are home from work. She almost never barks while inside the house with us. We just recently found out, by way of animal control being notified, that our new dog barks all day while we are at work. I have been giving her toys and treats to play with during the day to keep her busy. We tried a collar that sprays her with citronella when she barks, no success. We also tried a shock collar, which doesn't seem to phase her one bit! I don't want to keep her inside all day for fear she will have accidents and chew things up. Animal control now says they will be fining us $250 a day until she stops barking! Any other suggestion would be greatly appropriated.
