Have had my pit bull for about 2 months. Had her spayed at which time she has become aggressive towards me but not my partner. She has gotten to the point that I am afraid to move cause I don't know when she will react. Would like to get some help and get this taken care of. Do not want to put her down.

My 9 year old Bassett Hound, Moe has always been very docile, never dominant to humans & very obedient, eager to please & sensitive. Last night, he was fast asleep on his pillow when my 1 year old grandbaby went up to his pillow & plopped on top of him. He reared up out of sleep barking & growling as she fell over & he went up to her face & nipped at her several times before my daughter could stop him. My grandbaby has scratch marks all over the left side of her face & you can clearly see the mouth mark, both upper & lower teeth, on her cheek. He did not take a bite out of her, but the nipping caused red scratches. What do I do now? Is this a sign that he is aggresive towards children? That has never been the case in the past except one time when a little girl at our house grabbed his genitals while he was asleep & he growled & nipped, but only in the air, he did not touch her skin. Do I need to do some type of training with him? Or, do we just need to keep the baby away when he is sleeping? He loves on her when he is awake & is not aggressive at all. What should I do now? Please help!

Hi,rnI just wanted to see your thoughts on this, Do you think an Akita and a Pitbull could live happy and safe together in the same home?

My dog spends many hours by himself at home, aprox. 8 hours per day, sometimes more when I get home in the afternoon I usually walk with him so he can urinate and defecate but when he is by himself I leave him with training pads that I place in specific places in my apartment but still he urinates in the carpet here and there!!!! Does the castration help with this issue?
