This question is about: Barking at people, dogs, animals, birds or where the dog barks for attention or at the slightest noise

I recently adopted Scott from my sister. She has had him since he was a baby, she got him around December 2015. He is up to date with his shots and is friendly around her toddler and playful with other people. He never barks at people. Anyways My sister never had time for him so he was always tied up in the back yard and he has never been around other dogs. Now that he lives with me I take him out on walk and when he sees another dog he barks and them and whines looking at them. Also our front door neighbors have dogs and he sees them through the window and barks at them and sometime just stares looking at them play. However when I take him out he kids pulls on the leash towards them and barks and they bark back. I'm scared of my dog fighting another dog when I take him out so I avoid walking him around houses where they have dogs outside, but I really want him around other dogs so he can get use to them. I decided I'm going to take him to the dog park this weekend to see how he is around other dogs but keeping him on a leash in case of anything. However I'm scared to take him bc of what the reaction might me. So what should I do ?

This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger

We got Marley 2 years ago from my daughters neighbor. He was and has been very friendly. About 2 years ago one night he was laying on my wife side of the bed, she was trying to get out of bed and put her hand down trying to find Marley an in the dark he growled and bit her hand. Recently I have notice that he has been very territorially with my female Lab and with other animals that walk by (growling/barking). He did bit one of my son's friends about 6 months ago, and last night my wife was trying to get him to move to another location in our family room and he attacked and bit her hand again. I'm considering putting him DOWN. Would a muzzle help? What do you suggest? rnDave

Our lab, Gracie, is just as sweet as she can be, however, we are having a hard time breaking her from barking. What are some helpful tips? Thank you.

This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger

I got my dog from a shelter at about one-year-old, and trained her myself. She has been a perfect angel since day one, never showing any signs of initiating aggression in any situation, on or off leash . About two weeks ago that started to change, over the course of about a week and a half my girlfriend's mother had watched my dog and reported back that she had been aggressive on the leash toward other dogs twice. I was skeptical at first because I had not seen it with my own eyes, and that was not the behavior I had come to expect over the past year and a half. About a week ago we were out, and I had her on leash and Envir meant with other dogs around, and she behaves that way two or three times that afternoon. She would act normally when she saw another dog at a distance and even excited, but after taking one sniff of the other dog, she would suddenly lash out. I'm very confused about what the sudden change is brought on by, and my hope is that it is environmental, so that it is something that I can correct. Any thoughts would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
