My puppy was never abused or anything but she is so skiddish. She seems to have anxiety. I don't know how to help her overcome it.

This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Barking at people, dogs, animals, birds or where the dog barks for attention or at the slightest noise

My dogs name is Blue. Ive had him since he was 5 weeks. Ive loved him ever since I laid my eyes on his fat face. I had a dog before him that was 3 months and he passed away within a month of having him due to parvo. So of course I was Traumatized after that. So I have had no human or other animal contact with my dog since I've had him... And now he's really aggressive when I take him out . I've only taken him out twice because I'm scared of what he's capable of. I love him dearly and don't want to give up on him. I'm also afraid someone will call the pound on me or I will have to put him down so young. I'm in desperate need of help. Can someone help me ?

This question is about: Pulling on the Lead Other

Millie is an inside dog & where i used to live we had a fenced in back yard so the need to put her on a leash was rare. I now live in an apartment and have to put her on the leash regularly. Originally I had a collar with the leash that attaches that has the button to give more or less leash. I recently was told by a neighbor dog trainer to try the slip knot leash, as Millie is an excited walker & loves to smell everything. She pulls alot. I have noticed the slip knot leash causes her to struggle with breathing when she is pulling & I am concerned it's hurting her throat or affecting her breathing. Is the slip knot leash dangerous/damaging? What do you recommend? Also, she recently had a golf size lump appear on her right side on the lower part of her belly. Is this possibly a senior lump/bump or is it something I should get checked?

This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger

I am using Bark Buster trainer Jeff. After our first session to work on my dogs reactive state of greeting other dogs, I thought I would go to a dog park and see how she does with other dogs. She has been around dogs and I never know why son dogs make her aggressive and others, she could care the least about. When we went into the off leash area I took her off the leash. I saw a man with a very well behaved dog. I explained we were there for the first time. He let his dog play with Ellie. Ellie was not aggressive but scared. She sniffed as he did her. He wanted to play but my dog just wandered away. She would venture away from us but return scared when other dogs would come by. Never was she the aggressor. Here is my question. I am scared to let her be around other dogs for fear she will become the aggressor but I also need to let her off the leash to meet other dogs yet she is scared. I can't figure out the scared vs aggressive/reactive behavior happening . How to socialize but not let her be mean to other dogs?
