Queeny has always been scared of bugs inside the house (particularly if they buzz around a light) and goes to her bed until I kill it or throw it outside. This spring she has been fearful of bugs outside as well. She normally loves playing in the yard but if a fly buzzes near her she runs away then comes to the door to go inside. Once inside she cowers in her bed for a little bit. What can I do to calm her fears?

This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Sibling Rivalry - aggression or fighting between dogs in the same household

I have 2 dogs and yesterday, my border collie pup bit the other dogs face and he needed stitches. We witnessed the incident which was a quick bite, triggered by a suet cake (it was hanging off a chair, the border collie‚Äč was interested in it, and the hound came over to investigate and that's when he bit) i think he thought it was a special dog treat, of which there was just one, because it smelled like a rollhide bone which they love. they usually get along great- the only other times the border collie pup has lashed out at him when one of them has a rawhide bones, and I want to say it's infrequent but now I realize it may be because the hound backs down so readily. Am I right to stop giving my dogs special bones except when they are each in their crates? Seems like my border collie can't handle it.

My dog has a problem with nipping, and barking and growling at new people and strangers. He also sometimes runs away. We keep him on a leash but sometimes he gets away from us and he doesn't come so we have to chase him across the neighborhood. i was hoping you could give me some tips on how to train him to be more obedient. He's very friendly to me and my family and hes never attacked anyone but he's just a work in progress and I've never had a dog before so i don't know what to do.

This question is about: Separation Anxiety

Our dog is engaging in destructive peeing from her separation anxiety. We have had her for 3 years and it's becoming more and more consistent. We have ruled out medical issues with a variety of tests, we have worked with desensitizing techniques. We have tried to crate her but she goes crazy inside the crate. We are at our wits end and don't know what else to do. She is going on week 4 on her fluoxetine treatment, but we've noticed no change in behavior. When we try to corral her into certain areas, she escapes just to go pee somewhere else in the house. I take her running each morning and I come home 3.5 hours after leaving for work on my lunch. Nothing matters. She just pees right after we leave, no matter how long we leave for. She is 100% potty trained when we are home with her. What should we do??
