We put a rehoming deposit on a puppy. I've been researching, and I'm worried he'll be a hard to train dog. He's mixed half blue heeler, half red or english coonhound (i cant remember which but he's red ). He was very "mouthy" and chased the kids heels when we looked at the pups. Why we chose him was the "blue" color vs the other pups " red" . both parents are registed - mom is the heeler. These pups are an accidental breed. I've had the usual shephard mixed with various breed dogs usually lab my whole life. They lived long happy healthy lives and never gave us a problem in any way. I'm worried because I've never had a heeler or any kind of herding dog... any help with my anxiety on this would be appreciated! Thanks, rnlaura

Hello. I rescued Buddy when he was 3 months old from the humane society. He bonded right away with me but had puppy aggression with my doxie. It took him a day or so to warm up to my doxie. I took him to puppy class to socialize him but he was terrified of everyone and showed his teeth to other dogs. He barks at anyone while on walks, when people come into the house he constantly barks. I cant have anyone over without him going nuts. I tell people to not make eye contact and just ignore him. This will work after about 10 minutes but then he starts barking again. If i take him to our dog park he will show his teeth through the fence to other dogs. I have used bark collars but he barks, it zaps and he screams, the entire process sounds like he is being skinned alive! I am at my wits end. Please help!

Our dachshund is driving us crazy by refusing to be housebroken wi th respect to BMs. We've tried kennel training, rewards, ad nauseum-- he takes along time to eliminate and often doesn't. We spend 20 minutes outside with him, he wont go, and within 10 minutes we'll find a Pike on the corner. It's ridiculous and were frustrated beyond belief. We have his mom age 6 and another dog that model going outside. He's also very agtessive and snarly, bares his teeth alot and has bit the teenage kids several times. It almost makes me want to put him down.
