I found an ad on craigslist a little over two years ago that had a picture of the cutest little dog ever who the owner no longer wanted. I went and got him, who is now named Jesse, and we instantly had the most perfect bond. He is my best friend, and so sweet and loving towards me, but when a stranger comes around it is absolutely terrible. He has bitten 2 people in my family and the barking is non-stop. He doesn't listen to me and I've been trying different techniques and remedies for the last two years. I just recently moved to a dog friendly apartment complex and it has caused me so much stress. I have to plan when I take him outside to use he bathroom around whether there are other people outside, and forget the other dogs, he goes into complete attack mode. It's absolutely awful. I have tried and tried and tried soooo many different things to get him to stop barking and nothing has helped. The vet put him on 20mg of Prozac combined with useful tips to get him to stop barking and nothing has helped. He has been on the Prozac for over a year now. I hate that he has to take medicine especially because it doesn't even make a difference. Also, lately when I leave he has been tearing us the carpet, chewing my couch, and he never did that even when he was a puppy. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!! I will never get rid of him or disown him because of this, it just has to stop for my sanity.

Bella came to us as a young pup with a lot of fearful aggression. I've tried positive training with her and she is an over all great dog, but her dominance over my children is something I can't kick. Today she bit my daughter in the face, and I don't know where to go from here. I feel l can't trust her anymore.

I have had 9 month old Ruby in my home with two other dogs for several months. She is very bright high energy pup. My other two are a 4 year old Norwich neutered male and a spayed 7 year old wire haired dachshund who is blind. Both of my dogs are sweet and mellow. She has exhibited a bit of lap guarding which I have dealt with when it comes up...Yesterday morning she suddenly attacked the female, flattened her to the floor and grabbed her head and wouldn't let go. She did it twice yesterday morning and again last night. This morning I began working with her on a leash when she was close to the dachshund. When she approached the female, I corrected her and said no. She responded right away with good attention on me. I'm hoping I can train her to leave the dachshund alone. What are your thoughts on this? I don't want to put the blind female in danger.

Hi. I have 3 chihuahuas- they are about a year old. I did not train them properly in the beginning- they had their own room to roam freely in & used puppy pads because I lived in an apartment complex & they were not fully vaccinated. Now, I am trying to crate train them (they've been in crates for about 6 months), but they are still not getting it. I let them out on the patio every two hours (if i'm off of work, if not, then it's morning-midday-night) and they do their business. I give them about 30 minutes of play time in the front room, but they dont let me know when they have to go! They just go in the front room rather than ask to go outside! It's like going outside is not their preferred spot to do their business! rnrnAlso-- they are ALWAYS barking. I am not sure how to stop this either. I live on the second floor of an apartment complex, so it's not okay. Please help :( I really do not want to get rid of them.
