My mom and her 11-y/o Min Pin Petey just joined our household of four dogs. The dogs all knew each other well. We have always been a free feeding household. Petey sort of patrols the food bowls - all of them. He isn't aggressive, just sort of polices and muscles, and he's slightly bigger than our other four. He's a very sweet, responsive dog to humans and gets along well with the other dogs on all other occasions. Any suggestions? I don't want to discipline him if it will make it worse.

This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Hyperactivity Other

We adopted tucker a month ago and his personality has done a 180. At first we could let him out without a leash and didn’t have to worry about anything but now he is stopping cars and chasing them and barking at other dogs from inside aggressively. He almost broke our glass door trying to get ahold of a truck driving by last week. He also has turned on my other dog they use to love on each other and sleep together everything now every time she try’s to eat or drink water he attacks her and won’t even let her use the bathroom forcing her to go potty in the house and hiding under our bed. He also has gotten extremely over hyper and he gets walked 2 a day for 30-40mins at a time and will destroy cloths and diapers and bottles for no reason instead of his toys. And he has to be with first one through any door you open and no matter how hard you try to go in it without him he will force himself through the door. We don’t want to take him back but his last incident really scared me. Our other doc went to get water and he attacked her she was trying to run away and jump in my lap and when I went to help her he tried to bite me. Unfortunately I didn’t know what else to do but grab scruff and smack him in face till he stop trying to run after her. His behavior seems to be getting worse and we have a 16 month old and another on the way and I’m just not feeling they are safe around him.

Hello, rnrnI recently gave birth and olde English bulldog is having an issue adjusting. I noticed before bringing home the new edition to our family, Kane had an issue with children. We typically put Kane in the kennel when we have guest because he doesn’t listen. He tries to make our guest pet him and they don’t always want that. Kane goes crazy in the kennel with kids crying and he is doing the same with our newborn. I was ready to give Kane to another family because I feel his behavior is unpredictable. He knows commands but doesn’t want to adhere to them and he has no boundaries. Now that baby is home I don’t want him in the bed or on the furniture. Can you help?

This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Barking at people, dogs, animals, birds or where the dog barks for attention or at the slightest noise Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks

My dogs are small but very aggressive towards people and some dogs. Diego nipped my brother in the nuts tonight because he saw him by the front door and my other dog was barking at him. They stay in my room and bark every time someone comes by the door. I can’t let them run around free in fear of them biting someone. They are true ankle biters and I don’t know how to stop this behavior.
