Dog Training & Behavioral Therapist for Fox River, Wisconsin
Ruth was wonderful. Can't believe the difference in just one day. Walked with Kyle today at MY chosen route. Something he has not done since July 1. He still wants to walk ahead but we are working on that. No jumping on the couch. Didn't jump on people during our walk. Even the cat is loving it.Peggy L.November 15 2016
Best Dog Training in Sherwood & Fox River!
G'Day! If you are looking at this profile, then you have taken an important step in getting help for your dog. Perhaps your dog is barking too much, or his behavior around people is obnoxious, or perhaps it is something worse, even frightening behavior. Be assured almost all behavior problems can be cured, and it can be done in a very humane manner.
I have been a Bark Busters dog behaviorist and trainer since September of 2005. During that time I have trained hundreds of dogs, and although the behaviors were varied, it all really stemmed from the relationship the dog had with the owner. In each case, the owner did not have enough control of his or her dog to change the dog's behavior. Bark Busters Home dog training teaches you how to get that control without damaging your relationship with your dog. In fact, in each case of the owner following my instructions, the relationship between the dog and the owner grew and developed into a very balanced relationship. The dog felt safe with the owner's decisions, and was happy to follow those decisions.
Before Bark Busters, I fostered dog for many years for various rescue groups. I had a basic understanding of how to get a dog to sit and stay, and various other obedience drills. While my dogs did well in training classes, they did not do as well once we returned home or went on a walk. I also knew there had to be a way to train a dog without using treats. A treat may help you get a dog to sit, but it generally does not help you get the dog to come back if he is chasing a rabbit, or to stop barking out the window. I will come to your home and help you one on one. You will have better control of your dog than you ever thought possible. When that happens, you will have a better relationship with your dog than you ever thought possible! Even serious problems like aggression and separation anxiety are only symptoms of a deeper issue. We get to the root of the problem, so the dog no longer feels the need to act out in undesirable ways. You will see results by the end of the first visit instead of weeks or months down the road.
Before Bark Busters, I had to say goodbye to a very healthy, beautiful dog of my own because no one could help me fix his aggression issue. With Bark Busters, I have been able to help many people who owned dogs with the same behavior problem. You too, can have a well-behaved dog!

The Bark Busters Home Dog Training Methods helps solve dog behavior issues such as aggression towards people or other animals

- Create an obedient dog or puppy that will happily walk on the lead without tugging, sit or stay on command, and come immediately when called.
- Set off-limit areas for your dog.
- Reduce the stress of separation anxiety without the need for sedatives or drugs.
We teach you to communicate with your pet.
Blah, blah, blah, bad dog! blah blah. Do you think your dog isn't listening to you? Maybe you're simply not speaking his language. You may have heard of dog whisperer or dog listener techniques. The Bark Busters dog training method is based on the way dogs communicate with each other and how they learn from older, more important dogs in the pack. This is what makes our dog training unique and effective.
Why do we train in your home?
Your dog lives with a family, in a home. This is where he misbehaves most often so this is where training is most effective. Dogs learn by association. Bark Busters teaches your dog to listen in the home environment. If he does not listen at home, he will not listen outside your territory.
Training in your home is a one-on-one system without the distraction of other dogs or the stress of being sent away for training.
Of course, where you are experiencing problems outside the home such as pulling on the lead or dog aggression, we will set up controlled training situations in the park or wherever is most practical.
