Bark Busters Baltimore Dog Trainer in your Home
My mini doxies had issues with incessant barking...whether from hearing a noise to seeing anyone when I'd take them for a walk. Since moving into a condo, the barking I had gotten used to became an issue as I now live in a vertical neighborhood. Monkey took the role of pack leader and would aggressively (for a mini Dixie... lol) try to jump at anyone walking by. In addition, on three occasions since moving into the city Monkey nipped at people. Anne George arrived for our first session. Literally within minutes her "bah" and my girl Monkey stopped whining. After learning why Monkey was behaving the way she was -- because the pack leader protects the pack... once I learned my soft "bah" when people approached, a growl that let the girls know I am the pack leader and they were safe... the aggressive behavior stopped almost immediately. That plus some other simple tricks that communicate who the pack leader is... and now my neighbors have stopped complaining, I can take the girls on nice walks in my urban neighborhood, and can even sit at an outdoor cafe for an hour while they quietly sit with me. Barkbusters.com and Anne George rock! I now have two wonderfully trained pups!Doug M.July 7 2014
Best Dog Training in Baltimore
Anne George came to Bark Busters after a thirty-year career as a Maryland teacher recognized by state and national organizations for her creative teaching skills and leadership in science education. In addition to her intensive training in the holistic methods of Bark Busters, Anne has an undergraduate degree in biology and a master's degree in behavior and development from the University of Maryland. She also has completed graduate and undergraduate level courses in the biological and social bases of behavior, animal behavior, and zoology.
Today her goals are twofold: to bring the Bark Busters philosophy and mission to the residents of the Baltimore metropolitan area and to reduce the number of family pets surrendered to Maryland shelters or euthanized for behavioral reasons
As a Bark Buster therapist/trainer, Anne now teaches dog owners how to understand their dog's behavior and helps them to develop the skills needed to communicate effectively with their canine family members. Understanding, communication, and leadership are the keys for establishing a harmony in a household which includes dogs and humans.
How do owners achieve this?
By learning the language of our canine friends based on body language, voice tones and training aids, the owners are able to educate their dogs in how they can be happy, well-adjusted members of their blended family of humans and dogs.

- Reduce the stress of separation anxiety without the need for sedatives or drugs.
We teach you to communicate with your pet.
Blah, blah, blah, bad dog! blah blah. Do you think your dog isn't listening to you? Maybe you're simply not speaking his language. You may have heard of dog whisperer or dog listener techniques. The Bark Busters dog training method is based on the way dogs communicate with each other and how they learn from older, more important dogs in the pack. This is what makes our dog training unique and effective.
Why do we train in your home?
Your dog lives with a family, in a home. This is where he misbehaves most often so this is where training is most effective. Dogs learn by association. Bark Busters teaches your dog to listen in the home environment. If he does not listen at home, he will not listen outside your territory.
Training in your home is a one-on-one system without the distraction of other dogs or the stress of being sent away for training.
Of course, where you are experiencing problems outside the home such as pulling on the lead or dog aggression, we will set up controlled training situations in the park or wherever is most practical.
