What our Clients are saying about us
Christine was a great trainer. She was patient and a great deal of help with our recently rescued girl Lucy. We were getting frustrated and doing everything we knew and didn't know where else to turn. Christine is a blessing. After she was gone, I told my husband it was like she left us with a different dog. We just can't say enough about Christine and Bark Busters. We are now 5 weeks accident free and for the last 2 nights Lucy has been sleeping with her cage door open. She starts her night on the floor of bedroom and when one of us wakes up to use the restroom she is sleeping in her cage and no accidents! Bark Busters is a great business for people who need help with their animals. I don't know where we would be without them. We are pleased and eternally grateful for Bark Busters and Christine Guth. I could not give them higher praise! So please before you even think of giving up on your pet, call or send an email to Bark Busters they will get back to you in a very quickly. We are very happy with our rescued girl Lucy!Jamie S., Addison, IllinoisSeptember 27 2016
We adopted Payton, a lab mix, from a rescue center when she was about 7 months old. She had severe separation anxiety issues. We were also concerned about her behavior around other dogs and people. She was very fearful and would growl, bark and even snap while on walks or when people came over. We tried a couple dog classes but she was clearly uncomfortable and they were not helpful with her fear and anxiety issues. We then contacted Christine. She came out to our home and was very patient listening to our issues and concerns and offered extensive ideas and suggestions. She worked with us on behavior techniques and exercises. We went on walks where Christine showed how to effectively control Payton so she wasn't lunging at every dog and squirrel we came across. We also worked on exercises to help her overcome her anxiety issues. Christine is available by phone, email and whenever we needed her to come out to the house. She also is a wealth of information on everything from dog toys to healthy foods and snacks. In a few short months under Christine's guidance Payton has flourished. Payton is now happy rather than aggressively fearful when she meets other dogs on our walks. While she will probably never be a total fan of the crate, she willingly goes into it on her own or when instructed. We feel so much more comfortable when people visit. Christine has given techniques and suggestions to help Payton not feel overwhelmed or threatened when meeting new people or animals. We had a 7 month lab puppy visit and they had a great time playing. We took her to a doggie daycare to see how she would react and she did great.. tale wagging the whole time with both trainers and other dogs. None of this would have been possible without Christine's efforts... We cannot say enough good things about her and the program...Thanks!Kathy W., forest park, IllinoisSeptember 20 2016
Thank you Christine for being so informative and helpful as we prepare to introduce our dogs to our baby. I am seeing how receptive our dogs are to your training methods even just after day one. I would definitely recommend Christine to anyone I know who needs anything from basic training to more extensive training. She answered all of our questions honestly and gave great tips on how to correct our dogs behavior appropriately. You can tell that she loves what she does and isnt just in the job for a paycheck.Nikki M., Itasca, IllinoisJuly 4 2016
Christine Guth assisted us to eliminate the separation anxiety our dog was experiencing back in January of 2016. In a matter of a few months, we were able to break the anxiety completely using the techniques Christine taught us. In June, we brought her back to help us with leash walking. Dawson did much better just during the 1st lesson! We are going to apply the lessons we learned in day-to-day walks and are hopeful that he will become a much better leash walker. Christine is a great trainer and we truly enjoy working with her.Rose S., Chicago, IllinoisJune 28 2016
We have been working with Christine Guth now for roughly 3 weeks. When we started our labradoodle, Bruno, was 5 and a half months old. We had just been getting over a digestive parasite issue and a lot of Bruno's puppy training had disappeared because of our negligence of some rules based on getting him outside and staying outside to try and get him to potty as much outside as possible, during the process of getting rid of the parasites. We turned our head to a few bad behaviors which resulted in our puppy becoming the dominate member of our family and completely disregarding all his previous training. We have only been working with Chris for a short time and have committed to a 6 month program. A week or so in we felt our time, efforts, and heart were definitely in the right place. In such a short time were seeing many improvements in our dogs behavior and I honestly feel like Chris was a life saver! I was at the end of my rope feeling helpless and lost and Chris was quickly able to reel us back in and help us realize our dog was not a lost cause and we are WELL on our way to having the sweet, well behaved dog we always wanted. THANK YOU CHRIS!CarrieAnn S., Addison, IllinoisApril 16 2015

This was a positive and rewarding experience. Missy is already responding well to the training and with a little effort on our part will be even better in the future. We look forward to future lessons and having a companion that is fun to love and be with.

Christine did a wonderful job with helping us with our rescue dog. The first session alone worked wonders for the problems we were experiencing with him. He continues to make leaps and bounds every day. Thank you so much Christine!!!!

I first want to say that my dog is an adult rescue and came to us with a number of bad habits including but not limited to barking and dog aggression. She had no command or leash training what so ever. Shortly after bringing her home it was clear we were in over our heads so we took her to a different trainer who used a pinch collar and physical force in training. It was upsetting to me and my dog didn't respond at all. Things got to the point I was a little afraid of her as were my neighbors and honestly I was afraid for them. We decided to give training one more try and if we couldn't get results this time we were resigned to taking her back to the rescue. I'm so glad we found Bark Busters. We saw significant improvement after only one lesson with Christine. Now a month and 3 lessons later my dog no longer barks at neighbors or passers by even when they're walking their dogs. She no longer charges the fence. Walking her is now a joy she doesn't pull or try to attack bicycles or other dogs. She now knows her commands as well. Don't get me wrong she's not ready for the dog park and can be stubborn with responding to commands but everyday our bond and her response to us just keeps getting better . We are now looking forward to many years to come with our dog.

From the moment our trainer, Christine, walked through the door, we knew she was a true professional. Our dog, Chief responded not only to her, but to us, also with brief training. It is day two and Chief's problem barking is greatly diminished. He waits before going out an open door, and is much more consistent to coming when called and patiently waiting until released. His first walk was very good. He did not go crazy when two approaching dogs came, which would have been the case 24 hours ago!!! Amazing results after one training session. We are feeling very good about the progress we are making and are optimistic that this rescue dog has a bright future.

I cannot say enough about Chris. She is a phenomenal trainer. I have a dog that would not listen no matter what we tried. He is a chihuahua/min pin mix. He was a rescue as a puppy. After some time passed and many different methods, I felt him to almost be untrainable. I have had multiple dogs in my lifetime and have never seen a more defiant little dog. While he is very loveable, he would not follow ANY commands. One of our family members is even a vet tech and has years of experience with animals of all types and breeds and we had no luck training this little guy. Christine came over, thoroughly explained Bark Busters' processes in which they use to train dogs and discussed the goals I was looking to achieve with my pet. She was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Bark Busters uses a non-aggressive form of training which is what I was looking for and it DOES work. They believe in positive re-enforcement which has been found to be very successful not only with animals but humans as well. So before my eyes, she had my little stinker of a dog, Mr.Defiant himself following the command to sit within literally five minutes of working with him. She showed me how I and other family members needed to re-enforce this new learned command for consistency and positive re-enforcement. She was also very accessible for in between in-home training sessions. So to make a long story short, I not only highly recommend Bark Busters as a company, I highly recommend Christine as a trainer. I have also referred her to many of my friends and acquaintences. Bottom line, Excellent trainer and company!!!!! I would use her again anytime!!!!!

Christine was truly wonderful. My dog has definitely shown some improvement after just the first visit...though more practice is needed in certain areas of course. Christine had lots of patience though, with me and my dog, and had lots of simple yet helpful tips on getting the behavior I desire from my dog. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Getting my dog to walk nicely on a leash and relaxing with us as a family in front of the tv were two problem areas for me before her visit, and after her one visit, I'm actually enjoying our walk together each day, and can have her with us as a family during our down time. Thanks Christine!

She has taught me how to stop my dog from biting for which I am forever grateful. I did not want to give him up and now I don't have to. He has become a loving member of our household. The cats have not totally weighed in on that statement but thanks to Chris we are working on it.

Molly, our Rat Terrier, had been trained by Christine but her original owner decided they didn't have time for her and asked Chris to find a good home for her. Christine fostered Molly while looking for a new home. Molly was 8 months old when she came to live with us & has been an asset to our family ever since. Molly knew the commands so Christine had to teach them to my family. We had a few naughty puppy moments but for the most part she was a very good girl. She is now 7 years old & we can't imagine life without her. Mary, Bartlett, IL
