Greg Reetz dealt with: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger Barking at people, dogs, animals, birds or where the dog barks for attention or at the slightest noise Destructive chewing that results in destruction of furniture, woodwork etc Hyperactivity Jumping up at visitors or the dog jumps up at people on walks Separation Anxiety

I wanted to start off with a thank you! My sister and myself worked with Gregg to train our dogs, last resort you could say. Considering we both had already spent thousands (literally) on training our dogs at different locations and their aggression continued to build where my parents thought it would be too much to handle at their house. Gregg came out and spent the day with us for a fraction of the price and the issue was resolved within the day. The training technique obviously still needed to be practiced but both dogs now walk great on leashes, stay by our sides when we walk them off the leash, don't jump on people and, lastly, are much better with dog interactions. I get to keep the dogs and they are so much more enjoyable now too!

Greg gave us much helpful information during the home visit. We have 2 large dogs, a golden retriever and chocolate lab, who were rushing to the front door, barking and overwhelming any visitors to our home. Greg taught us how to train the dogs and change this behavior in a positive way. By the end of the home visit I was able to get them to sit, stay quiet and not rush the door when the doorbell rings, or a car drives into our driveway. The packet of information Greg gave us was great and very helpful as we continue to work on everything Greg taught/showed us. Several weeks have passed and we continue to use the methods learned as the training is on ongoing process. Greg has followed up with us to check in and answer questions about how the training is progressing which has also been helpful.

I would highly recommend Greg to assist with changing unwanted behavior, particularly barking and reacting to visitors.

Our 2 year old Yorkiepoo, Grizzly, was very hyper and would freak out and bark loudly when he saw people he didn't recognize. The final straw was when he nipped at a neighbor, and we knew something had to be done. Right off the bat, our first impression of Greg was that he was encouraging and enthusiastic and really seemed to love his job. He was confident that he could help us rein in Grizzly's aggressiveness, and boy was he right. Within hours of Greg leaving, Grizzly's demeanor had completely changed, and he was listening to us when previously he would be totally indifferent to our commands. So much of his approach is training us to train the dog; teaching us about how important consistency is (dogs are incredibly consistent)and how the dynamic of our house was affecting Grizzly's behavior. Although he's still an active and excited dog, he is more obedient and we as owners are now empowered to influence his behavior rather than let him control the house. Thanks Greg!

I have a 2 1/2 year old Siberian Husky named Kado! He was by all means the boss of the house! He listened when he wanted to and would respond to you by barking when you tried to discipline you! I called Greg after having a baby that he would on occasion get too rough with by not knowing his own strength and almost harmed by getting too wild and being jumpy around her while she was crawling around the house. It also happened after spending many nights at the backdoor at 4am waiting for him to come inside because he would not listen to me to come in! I was somewhat optimistic when Greg first came because he did the "bah"/growl and Kado barked repeatedly at him and began to howl! As my boyfriend and I (another part of the problem was he never was consistent with training Kado) listened to strategies for Kado to listen with "bah", he was beginning to listen, not jump, not be rough, and relax by sitting in a dog bed I'd had for years but that he'd never sit in! Greg worked wonders on Kado and truly trained us on how to get Kado to listen! He taught us about consistency in training, body language, and how to talk to Kado! Kado now comes inside when called, isn't wild around our daughter, doesn't respond by howling, and is truly much more of a happy dog with us not stressed out about his behavior! I would strongly recommend Greg, he has done wonders for Kado and our family and is such a wonderful person to work with! He is also so kind by checking in and providing new handouts or suggestions! Thanks Greg for all you've done with Kado and our family :)

I must admit that we were somewhat skeptical, when Greg told us he would work on curing our dog of some quirky little habits. I thought I had already tried just about everything. Imagine our surprise when at the end of our session, our little Boston Terrior had taken on a whole new attitude. Oh yeah, he tried to throw us a few curve balls, before Greg was even out of the county. But we knew what to expect, and how to confront it. We have both commented that we actually look forward to coming home and interacting with our new dog. Can't wait to take him for a visit to the rescue where we got him, and show them what a gentleman he has become. Thanks Greg. You and the Bark Busters Program are awesome!!

I have a 5 year old beagle/lab mix with possession aggression, Casper, and a 17 month old son who likes to take toys away from the dog, Colby. We had a couple scares with Casper lashing out at Colby when he would go for her bone. We were either going to get rid of the dog we love or try to fix her behavior. Greg came over and changed everything for us. He spent 3.5 hours with us. 3 hours was training my wife and me and 30 minutes was training my dog. I can say, 2 weeks later, we have a completely different dog. We are still cautious as parents but we don't have the fear anymore. Casper is completely submissive to us now and when she is in a situation she is not comfortable in, she leaves the room or the situation. I STRONGLY suggest going with Bark Busters and with Greg. He honestly changed everything within our household with our dog. She no longer begs for food at the table, barks like crazy at passers by and is no longer aggressive towards our son or other dogs. She is a lot more mellow and respectful.

It's only been a week and a half since Greg's visit and we have already seen significant changes in our dog's behavior. Walks are much improved, and no more barking at neighbors as they walk past the window! Greg was great. He was very patient and answered all of my (numerous) questions. The techniques he showed us are simple, and his explanations helped us understand the reasoning behind why they work so effectively. It's also great to know that should we need help in the future, he's only a phone call away. It's such a relief to have that support system. I highly recommend Greg as a trainer. He clearly loves what he does and loves dogs. It was a great experience working with him.

We adopted a very troublesome 7 month old beagle who needed a lot of training and guidance. Within four days of having him, we knew we needed professional help as soon as possible. I called Greg from Bark Busters, and luckily he had an opening at the end of the same week. Unfortunately, the end of the week could not come fast enough, so I called Greg and he thankfully gave me training tips over the phone to help us through the next couple of days. Once Greg came, and we implemented the training techniques, our dog's behavior dramatically improved. We were very impressed. However, this dog proved to be a very stubborn beagle that needed extra attention. Greg was gracious enough to give us extra visits to help us with our pup. We are forever thankful for Greg's help and dedication. Throughout the difficult training period, he was very accessible and empathetic to our situation and would always call to follow-up and ask about the behavior issues. Should we ever have a behavior problem with another dog, Greg will be the first we call!

Working with Greg has been wonderful! His methods and training has been such a blessing to us and our dogs. We've had a Lakeland terrier, Chloe, since 2008, and we introduced a Shar Pei, Fiona, into our home in August 2011. Chloe was pretty well behaved before we got Fiona, but after they both turned into terrors. Chloe became very protective of her food and toys, and Fiona was crying all of the time and chewing the wall and furniture. They fought on a regular basis and couldn't be in the same room together, and this made our home very uncomfortable. I found Greg through a Google search and when I called him I actually asked him if the testimonials were real (he laughed and said yes), and here I am writing one. He came into our home in February 2012 and worked with my fiance and I, and helped us realize that the dogs needed more leadership, which we weren't giving them. Since then, the fights have been reduced dramatically, they can hang out together, the growling has been reduced, and their behavior has improved so much. In this case, I feel like Greg wasn't a dog trainer so much as a people trainer because we need training, too. Greg is always available, he's so helpful and he checks up on us regularly. I've enjoyed working with him because he wants us to call if we're having an issue with our dogs, he always says "If you don't call me, I can't help." He's even helped me with finding dog-friendly apartments in Madison. I thought that the training was more than I wanted to pay in the beginning, but the techniques that we've learned and Greg's attention to us has been priceless. I would (and have) recommend Greg to everyone who is having issues with their dog(s). I remember before I called him, in the back of my mind, I was afraid that I would have to give up one of my dogs, which was a terrible, terrible thought, but he was our saving grace. I'm so, so happy with Greg, the training, and my two happy dogs in our peaceful home.
