Bark Busters Introduces WaggTagg™, A New Free Lost Dog Finder
March 2 2015
Bark Busters, the world's largest in-home dog training company, is proud to introduce a new product called the WaggTagg™ dog identification tag for pets which helps dog owners to locate their lost dog using QR code technology. The WaggTagg™ is FREE to everynewBark Busters client. This added benefit to the Bark Busters training is a complimentary service with absolutely no subscription fees.
"It is heartbreaking to lose a dog," says Danny Wilson, CEO of Bark Busters. "According to the National Council of Pet Population Study, a family pet is lost every 2 seconds and more than 10 million pets are lost each year. By attaching our free WaggTagg™ to your dog's collar, not only will the dog owner and his/her emergency contact get alerted if the dog is found and the tag's QR code scanned, but your local Bark Busters trainer and our home office will receive notification as well. This way, the chances of being reunited with your dog as soon as possible are greatly increased."
"It was also important to Bark Busters to offer this product for free, as many dog owners cannot afford the ongoing costs of GPS technology, or other methods of pet id tags that charge a monthly or annual fee. When a Bark Busters trainer comes to your home to train your dog, you will receive the WaggTagg™ for free as a part of the Bark Busters experience, not only for the dog that is being trained, but for any other dog in the house."
Every WaggTagg™ will have a unique QR code that will be specific to each individual dog. Once they receive their tag, dog owners simply need to register their dog on the WaggTagg™ website at www.WaggTagg.com. As part of the registration, dog owners will input an emergency contact, the dog's breed, age, size and any other identifying features such as temperament and health issues. The WaggTagg™ will have specific instructions on the pet id tag itself for the person who finds the dog. All they need to do is use a mobile device's QR code scanning app to scan the QR code on the tag, so the dog's owners and three other contacts can be alerted that the dog has been found.
The Bark Busters mission is to keep dogs safe and the identification tag will assist in doing that. "Even if you think your dog won't get lost or run away, it is important to have proper identification on your dog," says Danny Wilson. "Dogs can get spooked by the unexpected. Bark Busters wants their clients to feel safe in the knowledge, that they have a way to assist in protecting their dog, so they can reduce the risk of devastation and the stress of losing a dog."
In addition to the new WaggTagg™, Bark Busters recently announced the WaggWalker®, a dog walking harness that makes it easy for owners to teach their dogs to walk properly and securely by their side using operant conditioning through sound.
The WaggTagg™ is being rolled out internationally to Bark Busters trainers in more than 350 offices in 7 countries. Bark Busters is continuing its mission to build a global network of dog behavioral therapists to enhance responsible dog ownership and reduce the possibility of maltreatment, abandonment and euthanasia of companion dogs.
