Bark Busters is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Bark Busters on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the photo competition. Bark Busters is not responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, stolen, or misdirected entries. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PHOTO COMPETITION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, BARK BUSTERS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
PHOTO COMPETITION TIMING:
- The 2008 Bark Busters Dog Days of Summer photo competition will accept entries from July 7, 2008 through September 1, 2008. All entries must be received no later than September 1, 2008.
HOW TO ENTER:
- Complete all requested information on the photo competition entry page and submit your photo in a JPEG, JPG, TIFF, TIF, PNG, or GIF format, though JPEG/JPG is the preferred form.
- Photo size should be at least 3.75"W x 2.5"H or 270 pixels x 180 pixels in order to minimize photo distortion online.
JUDGING AND SELECTION OF FINALISTS:
- Qualified entries will be uploaded and featured on the Bark Busters website from July 7, 2008 through September 1, 2008.
- A panel of judges at Bark Busters will choose 5 finalists. The panel of judges will select finalists based on the dog's photogenic quality, creativity of the photo and the written description.
- The 5 finalists determined by the panel of judges will be notified by telephone and email no later than September 2, 2008. The 5 finalists’ photos will be featured on the Bark Busters website from September 3, 2008 through September 22, 2008 allowing the public to vote for its favorite entry.
- Consumers may only submit ONE vote per valid email address. The top THREE photos with the most votes will be deemed the Grand Prize winner, 2nd Place winner and 3rd Place winner based on the most votes received from the public. Winners will be notified by telephone and email no later than September 23, 2008 and announced on the Bark Busters website. The selection process will be conducted under the supervision of Bark Busters, whose decisions are final and binding.
RULES/GUIDELINES:
- Entrants/Winners must be legal residents of the U.S. who are 18 years of age or older at the time of photo competition entry.
- Entrants may only submit ONE photo per household.
- Entrants may only submit ONE photo per valid email address.
- Any entry with an invalid email address will not be considered.
- Contest organizer reserves the right to exclude any entry perceived to be fraudulent or unethical.
- Entrants must be the sole owner and copyright holder of the photo submitted to the photo competition.
- Pets who appear uncomfortable will not be considered.
- Employees of Bark Busters USA, Bark Busters Franchise Owners and their families may enter, but are not eligible to win.
- Once an entry is submitted, if approved it will be posted to BarkBusters.com within 72 hours.
- Deadline for photo submission is September 1, 2008.
- All submissions become property of Bark Busters. No correspondence about submissions will be answered.
- By submitting your photo to the Bark Busters photo competition, you give Bark Busters and its agencies an irrevocable perpetual royalty-free right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify your entry photo in any way, in any and all media worldwide, without limitation, and also constitutes your irrevocable assignment and transfer to Bark Busters of all right, title and interest in the entry photo, including without limitation, all copyrights, without further consideration.
- By submitting your photo to a Bark Busters photo competition, you give Bark Busters and its agencies permission to use your name, hometown, likeness, photograph, statements or prize information for advertising and publicity purposes worldwide without limitation and without additional compensation.
