My dog, Bear, had a lot of people issues when my husband and I contacted Bark Busters for help. He had a couple of incidents that caused him to basically think all people were out to get him. He growled, barked, and lunged at people, and we were unable to take him for walks in the park or in our neighborhood. We never had guests over at our home, and visits to the vet were a complete nightmare. We contacted Bark Busters after our vet recommended them, and the difference has been amazing. Our trainer, Dan Strickland, taught us how to teach Bear, which helped us to be able to become the pack leader and to gain his trust and respect. It has been over a year since his first appointment, and Bear is a different dog. We take him for walks in our neighborhood and at the park with no incidence, even when he sees other dogs or people walk close by him! We have moved and where we live they are still building, and he walks past all the workers and commotion with no problem! He even went to the vet in May and walked in with no problems for the first time in two years!

Dear Bark Busters, The Bark Busters training truly saves lives! We had a dachshund come into our rescue program who had been a stray, and who was dog aggressive and also inclined to escape through doorways. Her behaviors were such that she was not adoptable at the time she came into our rescue program. She was a sweet dog, but we knew we needed some serious help if Cinnamon was ever to find a "forever" home. Enter Dan Strickland of Fort Worth Bark Busters! Thanks to his work with Cinnamon, she now observes boundaries and no longer tries to run away or to run out of doors. Her dog aggression has nearly disappeared, and if she shows any brief signs of it, she responds immediately to a correction. Now Cinnamon is focused on enjoying life and being a good companion and she is truly ready for a new home. Our group now will be able to work on finding a home for this dog, because of the Bark Busters. We put "Bark Busters" brochures in all our adoption packets--are we Bark Busters fans? You bet!

My dog behaves better thanks to Bark Busters. Dan Strickland was my dog behaviorist. He helped solve some issues with my dog being too controlling. He has a great calm, assertive attitude with animals. Dan's ability to read me and my dog was impressive. He gave good-natured advice and he's able to laugh when you are having problems understanding. You can tell he really enjoys dogs and his job.

Our golden retriever, Harry Tee, was three years old when Dan began to work with him. Harry's main problem was jumping up on people and I was not able to walk him on a leash. I wanted Dan to train Harry Tee to become a therapy dog. Dan had 2 1/2 weeks to get Harry ready for the test required by Therapy Dogs International. Harry passed his test and now goes to an elementary school in a program called "Children Reading to a Dog." I take him once a week and groups of children bring their books and sit and read to Harry. It's a beautiful thing! Dan has become a great friend to our family.

Dan helped us make huge improvements with our dog Ranger! It was surprising to see how easily some of the techniques are. Ranger was showing signs of aggression and although he still has a long way to go...it amazes me at how far he has already come! The training results have been much better than expected and have helped us connect better with our pup!

My dogs, Dakota and Duke, are well behaved now more than they were before the trainer came. Both of them used to be noisy in the house and when I was on the phone. Now they are quiet inside and when I am on the phone. I am happy that they have learned that.
