Aggressive pit bull? -- Have you ever been locked in a room with a pit bull that is growling at you? I watch the news and I trembled with fear for hours after I got away from her. My pit bull spun so out of control she was attacking my other dogs and turning on me. I didn't know what else to do except be what I thought was a responsible pet owner and put her down. I called my vet. and scheduled her to be euthanized. -- But I love her so much that I couldn’t go through with it. I also couldn't live in fear. I honestly didn't know what to do. If I talked to 30 people, 30 people told me to put her down. My vet recommended Wendy from Bark Busters and she became our last hope. She turned out to be a Godsend. -- If I had not seen it for myself, I would have never believed it. Wendy helped us turn her around. As I mentioned, I also have 3 shepherds and had police academy training with them. With all my years of experience with dogs, I truly believed there would be no way to rehabilitate our Pit bull. We saw positive results after 2 weeks and worked with her for a total of 5 weeks. Now she is a playful, goofy, happy, loving dog. Now I believe that any dog can be rehabilitated. There is no need to put down aggressive dogs, they are just confused and that leads to frustration and then anger and aggressiveness. We have been breeding Australian shepherds for five years. We have done a lot of training with various public and private facilities, and for the most part, were satisfied. However, as our pack grew, we began experiencing problems with dominance and barking that became out of control. We had gone back to repeat dog training classes with other trainers, bought and used "bark collars," and even bought and used an "e-collar." Sometimes these methods worked, and most times they did not work out with any type of consistency. --- I met Wendy and we reviewed the material and methods of Bark Busters training. He was astounded. So was I. --- My biggest challenge was to make sure that I made time every day to PRACTICE with the dogs. It is not time consuming, it is merely being consistent and reminding this amount of dogs that I am their leader. --- We were very, very satisfied with Wendy. Her demeanor is kind and gentle, but very firm. No skirting around issues with her. She was very patient in her presentation with me, and an excellent teacher, and trainer. I want to say that I look forward to working with her more, but so far, my dogs are not requiring more training. She managed to train both me and our pack in one session. Her guarantee is for the life of the dog, which is priceless. --- I can (and have) recommended Wendy to everyone and anyone, including other breeders, with great sincerity. --- Wendy is completely devoted to her clients, dogs, methods, and training. She will give you as much time and effort as you request and are willing to put forth as well. --- I have no plans to use any other trainer for any issues that may arise in the future. Our veterinarian recommended Wendy as she had worked with other aggressive dogs and had great success. Our dog had little focus and lunged at our guests. I had been searching for help to manage my sometimes aggressive/dominant male GSD. I think I read most books on the market; then, I contacted Bark Busters.
