The training method of Bark Busters was developed in order to reduce the number of dogs euthanized or surrendered to animal shelters. It was the success of this methodology that grew into the international company of Bark Busters today. Without this basis, we could not be the world’s largest dog training organization.

Why home training? Because dogs learn best when they can completely focus on the trainer and the owner in an environment that is quiet and free of distractions. Being in a familiar environment where there’s nothing competing for your dog’s attention enables us to address the issues very quickly. In fact, it’s very common for clients to see results with behavioral issues in the first 20 minutes!

And furthermore, it’s important for you to learn how to work with your dog in “real life” situations. This can be achieved through our private and personalized lessons that help you and your dog overcome the challenges of your specific living environment.

We don’t use harsh techniques or bribe with food to extort good behavior. We engage dogs in using their minds – communicating with them on a level that they understand, using the natural dynamics of pack law. And ultimately, our goal is voice control.

We’re not out there developing a system as we’re working with dogs, (which is something not uncommon in the field of dog training.) A bit about me….

Through out my life, I have been surrounded by animals – particularly those with “special needs.” My experiences range from a Siberian Wolf, several adopted farm animals – such as the geese I raised in my guest bathroom, dogs of many breeds (and needs), cats and kittens -- to orphaned birds and abandoned bunnies. My biggest achievement so far, though, has been the rehabilitation of an abused and abandoned black lab, Nike Noodle, who became our family pet and touched the lives of everyone she came into contact with.

I feel extremely fortunate to have come across the Bark Busters opportunity and to now be a part of this family. It is truly an incredible program. And to see the relationship between owners and dogs grow is the most rewarding side of this business!
