About us:
Bark Busters must have been in our destiny when we chose a darling little eight-week-old female Golden Retriever and decided to call her “Sydney” after our favorite city. Both she and Bark Busters have Australia in common!

Lisa taught multi-challenged children with the Capistrano Unified School District for over 30 years. Nelson, who consults for FranChoice, was very impressed with Bark Busters when it was put into his mix of franchises.

We have always loved dogs and have had them in our family most of our lives. Our combined histories of educating and consulting show that we care about people, too!  We both volunteer with the United Coast Guard Auxilary. In addition to boating, we enjoy hiking and traveling, and we are certified scuba divers. Nelson is also a licensed ham radio operator. Lisa continues to be involved with children, presenting "Dog Bite Prevention" at local schools.

About our methods:
We work personally with you and your dog(s) at your home, where it is the most natural, comfortable setting for both of you.

Through our phone conversation and home visit with you, we find out what the issues are and set up a simple, humane training plan that appeals to both the human and canine psyches. Our techniques encourage dogs to use their brains as well as satisfying their need for pack leadership, with you as the leader. They will respond to your voice, your body language and sound, as done accordingly to the plan.

The results are amazingly quick and gratifying for both you and your dog!
