Anne George came to Bark Busters after a thirty-year career as a Maryland teacher recognized by state and national organizations for her creative teaching skills and leadership in science education. In addition to her intensive training in the holistic methods of Bark Busters, Anne has an undergraduate degree in biology and a master’s degree in behavior and development from the University of Maryland. She also has completed graduate and undergraduate level courses in the biological and social bases of behavior, animal behavior, and zoology.

Today her goals are twofold: to bring the Bark Busters philosophy and mission to the residents of the Baltimore metropolitan area and to reduce the number of family pets surrendered to Maryland shelters or euthanized for behavioral reasons.

As a Bark Buster therapist/trainer, Anne now teaches dog owners how to understand their dog’s behavior and helps them to develop the skills needed to communicate effectively with their canine family members. Understanding, communication, and leadership are the keys for establishing a harmony in a household which includes dogs and humans.

How do owners achieve this?

By learning the language of our canine friends based on body language, voice tones and training aids, the owners are able to educate their dogs in how they can be happy, well-adjusted members of their blended family of humans and dogs.

What I am most impressed with is how quickly this method is working and the tremendous change in behavior after just one session. I had been looking for a professional trainer for about a month. The prices were about the same or higher than Bark Busters but EVERY one of them said that it would take about 6 sessions [translates to 6 weeks] to curtail the behavior and NONE of them offered any guarantee. I was also concerned that because I have two dogs that it would be complete chaos and I would never be able to 'learn' how to handle them at the same time. I now have the knowledge and the confidence to teach my dogs what I expect from them and I could not be happier with the results.
