We knew we were headed for trouble when we adopted our beagle, Hunter. The first time we met him he got his head stuck in the dryer vent, barked frantically, jumped all over us, and pulled like mad on leash. We were assured he was still a puppy and needed to attend an obedience class. So of course, we adopted him. We brought him to an obedience class expecting to cure his habits of jumping on visitors, barking, and taking us for walk. Unfortunately for us, the class had no affect on his bad behaviors.

After learning Bark Busters method, Hunter is a changed dog. We can walk him on a leash without pulling us, he doesn’t jump on people, and he no longer disturbs our neighbors by barking all day.

Dogs are pack animals and they must have a pack leader. We often think we are the pack leader. But when dogs do not see pack leadership in a canine way they understand, this can lead to destructive behaviors - such as nuisance barking, jumping up on people, toileting in the house, chewing, aggression, and general disobedience. When a dog starts misbehaving, it is asking for directions from its owner. It wants to know who the top dog is.
