Why dog training? The training method of Bark Busters was developed in Australia to reduce the number of dogs euthanized or surrendered to animal shelters. It was the success of this methodology that grew into the international company) of Bark Busters today (currently in eight countries). With this foundation, we have become the world’s largest dog training organization. Why home training? Because dogs learn best when they can completely focus on the owner in an environment that is quiet and free of distractions, and the issues that are causing concern can be recreated and addressed. We don’t use harsh techniques or bribe with food to extort good behavior. We engage dogs in using their minds – communicating with them on a level that they understand, using the natural dynamics of pack law. Our goal is voice control and clear body language.

A bit about me . . .
I have loved dogs my entire life, and always knew that I wanted to spend my second career working as a dog behavior therapist. I spent 12 years traveling the world as an author and Human Development lecturer before becoming familiar with Bark Busters. I have a graduate degree in theology and worked with changing human behavior for over last twenty years.
I became acquainted with Bark Busters when a good friend became a Bark Buster Dog Therapist. When I rescued my dog Charlie from a San Diego shelter, he came with a number of behavior issues including: dog aggression, barking, toileting in the house, anti-social behavior, and separation anxiety. Within a few minutes of working with the local Bark Buster Therapist, Charlie seemed like a whole new dog. After 3 days of working with him he totally lost the dog aggression and the other issues diminished drastically. When I saw how quickly it turned my dog around I called to join Bark Busters. Obviously, I have never been as impressed with a training system as I am with Bark Busters. I feel fortunate to be in a position to help improve the relationship between owners and their dogs, and to be a part of making the families I work happier ones.
