WELCOME TO BARK BUSTERS
Dogs do things for dog reasons, not people reasons. Dogs are a different species. That may be stating the obvious but perhaps you’ve had a thought such as “my dog is trying to get “even” with me” or “my dog is “mad” at me”. Those are human thoughts, dogs view the world and life from a canine perspective not a human one. They also communicate in a canine way, not a human one. These are some of the differences that can lead to misunderstandings and problems between humans and dogs.

CUSTOMIZED TRAINING
Every dog is an individual with his or her own personality, temperament and experiences, as are humans. I tailor each training plan to fit your dog and family. Great relationships with dogs are built on a foundation of mutual love, respect and trust. If any of these elements are missing there are likely to be problems. My mission is to help people understand and develop great relationships with their canine family members.

HUMANE, NON-PHYSICAL TRAINING METHODS
I use a non-physical (no choke, pinch, prong or shock collars) natural approach to achieve behavior change based on understanding and clear communication.  I will train you to train your dog. At the end of each lesson I will leave you with written instructions to follow, usually about 15-20 minutes daily for approximately 5 weeks.

FED UP WITH YOUR DOG’S BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS?
The Bark Busters training techniques are very effective for helping you to quickly eliminate common issues like jumping, barking, pulling on leash and much more. I also work with owners of dogs that have more serious issues such as aggression and separation anxiety.

MY CREDENTIALS
After thorough training and evaluations through the Bark Busters team of skilled Master Trainers I was licensed to practice as a dog trainer and behavioral therapist. I also hold the title of CPDT* (Certified Pet Dog Trainer) from the American Council of Certification for Pet Dog Trainers. Not only does this guarantee you that I have the knowledge and skills for canine behavior modification, but that my methods are humane, and that I have an ethical business practice.

TRAINING LOCATIONS
Both people and dogs learn better when they are comfortable and in a stress free environment. Training takes place in your home where the problems usually occur and where you and your dog are most comfortable. If necessary I will also travel outside your home to help with a dog’s behavior, places such as dog parks or doggie day cares, no extra charge with most service packages.

PUPPY TRAINING
Most group training classes do not allow puppies until they are 4 months or older. For good or bad, you begin shaping your puppy’s behavior the day you bring him home. I use a comprehensive training program for developing proper manners and social skills in puppies as young as eight weeks old.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE

I offer a choice of service levels that makes training affordable for everyone. The “Life of the Dog” service is by far the best value. Our dogs will be with us for many years and can encounter many changes with the family such as; moves, schedule changes, new jobs, and other things that affect us and our dogs. With the “Life of the Dog” service you are never alone.

*CPDT is a certification received from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), an international testing and certification program that requires references from a client, a colleague and a veterinarian, completion of 300+ training hours, a comprehensive exam, and ongoing education.

Many of my clients tell me they have lived with unwanted problems from their dogs, sometimes for years, because they thought that was normal behavior for their dog.

Here is what they say after training…

Connie did an amazing job explaining & showing us how our dogs think & made it easy to understand her techniques. I couldn’t believe the difference in the dogs, just after a few hours. It was amazing. I learned more than I thought I would. --April M., Everett, WA

Friendly, supportive and engaging. Saw results towards the end of session. Connie was very informative and made it a comfortable and relaxed environment for us.
--Mary B, Kirkland, WA

Very impressed! And have trained 3 other dogs by “treat” reward-this is much better!
--Diane J, Mountlake Terrace, WA

Oh my gosh! Where did this quiet well behaved puppy come from??? So, so, so simple but works so, so, so great! I am beyond pleased. For “naughty” puppies this training is perfect!
--Lindsey R. Snohomish

Connie was great. She was patient and non-judgmental, which is important when you’re embarrassed by your dog’s behavior. It is so hands on and not rushed!!!
--Kimberly J., Seattle, WA

I saw results and thy stayed with my dog the day after the visit and next…It was a different way of thinking, which makes sense. My dog has gone through training before; the bad behavior that we wanted to stop didn’t until Connie came by and showed us how to stop that behavior.
-- Erika M., Kenmore, WA

Connie is easy to get along with and made sure I knew what she was talking about. My crazy little dog was already noticeably calmer and more obedient after just 1 hour of working with Connie! I’m a believer in leadership/dominance training done in a gentle and kind way, this was perfect! Would absolutely recommend this to friends and relatives! If she could help my dogs she can help any dog!
--Eleanor B., Seattle, WA

If the owner is committed to changing, the techniques really do work – we were always committed, just didn’t know the right techniques. We are so happy and thankful for the help. We have seen a huge improvement after just a couple of days! Thank you!
--Katie D., Kirkland, WA

Would recommend because it works. After just a few days our pack was calmer and listening to me.
--Michele C., Lynnwood, WA

Connie made the training as easy as possible, we still remember all the techniques, very easy to understand! We are only working on a few small issues. All the old habits that caused us to get a trainer are gone. He is a brand new dog! We are extremely happy with the techniques used, none were hard, and it’s very humane and effective. Our dog responded immediately to training and he is a very stubborn dog normally. We have tried other techniques in the past and were stuck. This is very easy to follow and we loved the way our trainer walked us through everything! If you have a stubborn dog that you thought was hopeless, Bark Busters can fix any problem! They can teach an old dog new tricks, we are very satisfied; it’s well worth the money!
--Cham S., Renton, WA

The trainers are very through and caring. I think they have the dog’s best interest in mind.
--Allison E. Vet Tech, Bothell, WA

Connie was great. She was very personable and easy to learn from. And, she knew how to “talk” to the dogs so they would obey!
--Nancy A., Woodinville, WA

Connie put it into plain English which was great! Within the first ½ hour we were amazed with the change. It is very nice to train your dog with kindness. Connie made it fun and easy to understand. We have been very pleased with the results we have seen.
--Katie N., Snohomish, WA
