The mission of Bark Busters is to prevent the euthanasia and surrender of dogs to animal shelters because of behavior problems. As volunteers in a Greyhound adoption agency we have seen many dogs returned because the owners did not understand the training needs of their pet. By joining the Bark Busters family, we can help people solve canine behavior problems and restore happiness to their home.

A bit about Mike and Judy . . .
Judy and Mike have owned dogs for their entire life. They met in their early forties having traversed through life along separate paths. Judy had two children and one small dog; Mike had a giant 125-lb. dog. One day, a special 10-year-old greyhound joined the family triggering thier journey into greyhound rescue and adoption. Judy manages a greyhound adoption group and, together, they have fostered and placed over 700 greyhounds in the last 3 ½ years. “We discovered Bark Busters at just the right time. We had been answering behavioral questions for new adopters right from the start.” Experience, dedication and love for dogs made Bark Busters an obvious career choice.

Judy and Mike have masters' degrees in the education and business fields and have been teachers for many years. Bark Busters provided a career change that involved their love for dogs and passion for teaching. “We have a strong belief that the family dog is an integral part of life. We want every human/dog pack-family to enjoy and thrive. A good relationship depends on getting the leadership in the proper order. Once the humans and the dogs understand how this works and can communicate with each other, the rest is easy.
