Best Dog Training in Fayetteville!

My husband and I settled in the Fayetteville area soon after he retired from the Army. We raised our two children here, and have always enjoyed being near a military community. Prior to Bark Busters, I worked for the Harnett Co. school system for approximately ten years, tutoring elementary school children. The last four years were spent at Benhaven Elementary, where I was a sight coordinator for an after-school tutoring program.

I suppose I’ve always been a teacher of sorts, because I began training my own dogs at age ten and found that it came fairly easy to me. The fact is, I love training dogs just as much as I love teaching students. So it only seemed natural to go into the Bark Buster business, once I became an empty-nester and needed something new in my life.

I was very pleased to find that, not only was the Bark Buster approach similar to what I had been using, it was better! Its holistic approach made perfect sense, and the method helped me to fill in the gaps. I was able to tweak my training using what I had gained through the Bark Busters method to become an even better trainer! What’s more, I could use my years of experience in education to teach others to train their own dogs.

Since every dog is different, just like child, there are no cookie-cutter recipes for training dogs. When you understand your dog, his temperament, and what works best for him, everything else falls into place. It is my intention as a Bark Buster, to cater each lesson personally to address your dog’s unique personality and behavioral problems. I will teach you to communicate effectively with your dog through a natural system of voice control and body language.

By empowering you with the knowledge and techniques you need to establish strong leadership, I leave you in control. This is a system that works! I wouldn’t be willing to back it up with a written lifetime guarantee if it didn’t!

Is this my house? Took Jackson for a car ride and noticed what I hadn't noticed before: he was on full alert (ears, tail), so I thought he wasn't really enjoying it as much as I had previously thought he was. I even heard the start of a growl, growled right back, really low. His ears went back, his tail went down and he sat in the seat instead of patrolling the window, which I had not realized he was doing. We got home and he has amazed me. I sat in the front steps with him on the recall line and he wandered about without a tug from me until the little blind dachsund next door decided to get brazen and walk into our yard barking. At the first growl, I did the Bahh kind of quietly, then he did an outright bark, and I did one back and smacked the concrete w/ the bag. He went straight into a lie down and stay w/out my telling him to. Neighbor guy came to get his dog , who was coming closer and still barking. Jackson's ears and tail stayed down, he lay there calmly chuckling to himself, it seemed.

       One more incident w/ a passing dog. Bahh and into the fence w/the chain, then come & praise. Will catch himself in doorways before being corrected.
