After we lost our 7.5-year-old German shepherd, we got Hanna, a 7-week-old German shepherd, and we had forgotten how much work a puppy can be. At first my husband was uncooperative to house breaking, and he eventually said the dog has to go. I had to take Hannah to work with me until I could plead her case and bring her home. (I work at a vet hospital.) She continued to toilet in the house, so he gave me two weeks or she was going to go! Like a sign from heaven, Keith and Stephanie came into our hospital. They were very pleasant, happy and energetic people, so we listened to their sales pitch, like we do for many other trainers, but something about them was different. This couple truly believed they could help people and their pets. This is not just a job for them. When they offered to train the staff’s pets for free, I said, “You have a deal!” A fellow worker had the first training with Steph and Keith with unbelievable results. I was very excited but still uncertain they could help me. After one more fight with my husband, I told Steph, Hannah would be given away by 10/20, so they came out immediately. After our first session, Hannah was walking by my side, sitting, staying at doorways and at the bottom or top of stairs and stayed until I called her. My husband was very impressed and surprised that I admitted that I was the problem, too. Hannah had no respect for me, and it was going to be an uphill battle. Six days later, Hannah was pushing all of my buttons. When I put the collar and leash on she went crazy, biting me, the leash, rolling on the floor. I once again called Keith, and once again they came right over. Once again, my husband was impressed. The problem was fixed and training continues every day. Even my husband walks her around the house (not often, but he does get involved now). I can see Hannah is happier, sleeps better and doesn’t protest (as much). She is 99% house broken and Doug has now bonded with our “good girl”! Thank you, Stephanie and Keith, for saving our dog! Don’t ever stop doing what you do so well. --Donna Oswald & Hannah
