World’s Largest Dog Training Company
Bark Busters was founded in 1989 in Australia. Bark Busters has more than 250 offices in the United States and more than 400 in 10 countries. Bark Busters has trained more than 500,000 dogs. We have the experience and skills to train any dog.
In-Home Training
Here’s how we work. We come to your home and teach you how to correct misbehavior in the environment in which the behavior is occurring in. No travel, no distractions, fast results! In as little as two hours (versus weeks or months by other methods), the Bark Busters natural training approach can help you establish control over your dog -- all without treats or punishment. Most customers are amazed by the immediate behavior changes they see in their dog. Practicing just 10-15 minutes a day over a 5-week period will help to produce a companion relationship with your dog that until now you only dreamed was possible.
Communication, Not Pain
We will teach you how to communicate with your dog in a language it understands, so you can give it the education it’s missing and provide the guidance it’s craving. We do not use physical force, shocks, choke, or prong collars! We will teach you how to change your dog’s behavior in a holistic, humane, non-physical manner. Bark Busters teaches you how to exhibit pack leadership through voice control and body language.
A Lifetime Guarantee
Bark Busters is the only worldwide dog training company to offer a written lifetime guarantee. That means that Bark Busters will return free of charge to provide further training if problems recur at any point in a dog’s life - even if new problems develop. Bark Busters partners with you for the life of your dog and that provides peace of mind!
About me
I work with dog owners to overcome their pet’s behavior problems resulting in a happier home environment.
I bring a wealth of unique canine training experience to the Twin-Cities' dog-loving community. My background is in biological sciences, research and development, and management. I have placed retired racing greyhounds in their forever homes since 1993. I have trained these dogs to acclimate and integrate into their new pack. Bark Busters natural method is great for these dogs and for all breeds. I currently serve as Treasurer of the Northern Lights Greyhound Association, a metro-area nonprofit.

What my clients say:
Amazing how quickly both my dogs responded! Makes sense so it is easy to understand. I have numerous clients ask me about training concerns so it is nice to have personal experience with this method so I can refer them.--Jennifer Urban, DVM, Lakeland
Hunter is a lot easier to control and is a lot calmer. He definitely listens a lot better. Very pleased. --Lindsay Burke, Stillwater
After 4 days of working with Bella we see remarkable changes! Even in areas we weren't specifically working with. This system is terrific. We love the "catch them being good" philosophy. We are both teachers and this goes right along with our beliefs. Bella is a huge part of this family and it is so much fun to see her behaving so well! Thank you!--Becky M. and Sandra C., Cottage Grove
The training techniques were simple to understand. I really liked the fact that it was not a treat based technique. The instructor was very knowledgeable and confident. I have found the training to be very effective.--Deb H, Stillwater
Great to break it down to the canine behavior and thinking process. Think it is important to react to them like an alpha dog rather than a human's natural response. Your whole training program is with the dog in mind and they respond great to it. Steve Schaffel was very encouraging during the training session. I am very excited and happy to follow through with these training techniques. Thanks for all your help! --Karin Andersen, CVT
