I live in an apartment, so my dog needs to be walked to use the bathroom. However, even if it's been 12+ hours since she last oeed she will still show no sign of urgency and take 30-60 minutes on a walk to go pee. I take her out three times a day but I just don't have an hour to spend on walks three times a day. Sometimes she'll go within 15, but that's a rareity. I tried giving her treats after she pees, but she shows no interest in them until we're home, ruining the pee-treat association.

This question is about: Barking at people, dogs, animals, birds or where the dog barks for attention or at the slightest noise

My dog is an outside dog. She love to bark at nothing. I live in a subdivision. I have tried bark collars and bark sound. They work a couple of weeks then she is back at barking even more than before.

2 questions -rnrn1) WE would love to have our Zoe in the house with us at night...but she has always been an outdoor dog with her previous owner.. We gradually work with her to come in when she wants, but she only wants to be in a couple of minutes at a time and when we have her in the house she is very uneasy and antsy... up in down and she wines consistently... so we let her out, but at night she barks 24-7 and chases every thing in sight mainly our deer... how can we stop this?rnrn2) How can we get Zoe to stop digging up plants or just laying right on top of them.

This question is about: Toileting

We welcomed Apollo into our home a year ago after our son & daughter in-law could no longer care for him (small apartment, new baby). He gets along well with our 7 yr old Golden Retriever and cats, but is hyper and anxious at times. We use 'calming tablets' from WalMart when needed. Our problem is that he will poop in the house right after we have taken him outside. He has never had an accident while we are gone at work (sometimes 8 hours). We don't rush him while we are outside, and at times will take him out 3 or 4 times in an hour because he keeps asking. This problem has been becoming more frequent. Tonight my husband came home first. By the time I came home they had been outside twice and eaten. I took them outside for a 10 minute walk as soon as I returned home. Apollo peed twice while we were out, but showed no indication that he wanted/needed to poop. After we were back inside less than 5 minutes (enough time for me to change clothes) he had pooped in the house. This is the second time this week. HELP!! I love him, but am not going be able to keep him if this continues. Please help!
