He's a great dog, want him to learn basic commands and to protect. Don't want him aggressive
My dog has suddenly, since her sibling died this Feb.'15, become aggressive towards other dogs. If they come up to her ,she will growl -then attack. She does not go after them but she would rather they keep their distance. My sister will be bringing her 2 little dogs to live with me over the winter and I need to nip this before they get here. Help please!

I am engaged to a woman that owns a Terrier named Kirby. I started coming to her place about 5 months ago. Kirby barks furiously whenever I come to the front door. He eventually calms down but can resume barking at any moment for obvious reasons, like food is being served to the humans, or less obvious reasons. (Perhaps he heard a sound outside). I have bonded with him quite a bit (or at least I think I have) but he has certain triggers that have made him bark furiously, and in one case his tooth made contact with my leg. The triggers seem to be me sitting on the couch when he's there, especially with his owner Joyce. Another trigger is moving toward the bed (which he thinks of as his sovereign. sacred place to be with Joyce.rnrnKeep in mind, these situations don't trigger him every time. He's very unpredictable in that way.rnrnWhat can be done about this incessant barking?

My dog is submissive with me but dominant with other dogs. At the dog park she prances around like she owns the place and steps over the boundaries with other dogs. They will earn her by showing teeth or growling to leave them along but she will get in small fights. I have to remove her calmly from the situation and take her home. She is pretty selective but only if another dog seems to be a threat to her. I rescued her not too long ago and I noticed she cries and pants when I leave and she also drools a lot while at the dog park. I walk her a ton but I am kind of afraid to take her to the dog park to get all of her energy out. We have a yard but she won't play fetch or play with toys either. She digs holes. Help! Can't decide whether she is dog selective/dominant or if she is just highly anxious. When I get home she cries, howls, and jumps up to give me hugs. What do I do? I can't afford a dog trainer right now and I love her to pieces!
