My dog is great around my cat when it is just us 3 at home. Grooming her, cuddling, etc. But when my mother (who the dog is bonded with the most) comes home, it's a whole different story. He goes after my cat and tried to bite her while barking and growling. Why is this? The dog loves the cat when my mother isn't home, and as soon as she walks through the door, he tries to kill the cat. I'm not sure how to handle this situation.

So I have a jack russel blue heeler mix who is a male and 3 years old, I just adopted a 14 month old beagle mix who got spayed the day before. The humane society let me bring her home and she did meet my dog at the humane society and they got along fine. But once I got home they have both been on edge with each other. Will they eventually get along or is this a bad match

Both my Shelties (male and female) love to chase cars. I live on 1.5 acres, mostly wooded. My dogs are well trained; we typically visit the wooded area behind my house to go potty. But when a neighbor's car drives up, all H - - - breaks loose. I often use a training collar that buzzes and rings during periods of the day when activity is at its peak. How can i discourage that behavior?rnrnThank yournDon

Maisey has gone through basic obedience classes from 4-6 months. She did great, and we no longer bark at every moving object. We currently bark at other dogs, and some days are worse then others. She can walk by a dog with a basic leave it command, but if we get too close she starts to bark. This becomes an issue because I live in an apartment complex with elevators, and the elevator "face off" is by far the worst. If the owner allows them to meet she is more then fine, and she has never showed signs of aggression towards another dog thus far. Do you have any suggestions on how to stop her from barking at other dogs?
