This question is about: Aggression to a dog or other animal or where the dog is aggressive to the owner or a stranger

Just this month our Great Dane (whom is fixed), started biting kids. We have 3 kids of our own and he is fine with them. It started on the second of March. We had a friend over and she brought her three kids to play with ours. The kids were running and playing Back and forth from the bedroom to the living room and her and I were in the kitchen making dinner (we are able to see the kids from the kitchen. The dogs were laying in the living room. As the kids were heading from the living room to the bedroom our Great Dane jumped up and headed towards her oldest sun and growled and nipped toward him I yelled “Mechanic NO! Go lay down!” He went and laid back down on his bed on the other side of the living room (where he was before). 10 minutes later the kids come out of the room and are heading to the kitchen where we are and as they come out of the room our Great Dane jumps back up growls and bit her younger son on the face. I yelled at the dog and put him outside in the yard away from all the kids and she took her son to the hospital where the cleaned and glued the wound shut. The dog was placed on a 10 day in home quarantine (state regulations even though he is current on all shots). Two days ago (day #10 of quarantine) our neighbor kid came over to see if the kids wanted to come outside to play. As he was on his way out the door with out any warning (not even a growl) our Great Dane tries to nip him as he walked passed him on his way out the door. I yelled “No Mechanic” and again put him outside in the yard. Then today the kids and the neighbors boy were playing out front in the circle on their pogo sticks and our Great Dane came running at the boy knocked him down and tried to bit him. My husband yelled at the dog and he left the kid alone and we locked him up in the yard again. We have never had any aggression issues with him until this month, and don’t know why all of a sudden he is having issues with other kids.

My dog is getting vocally aggressive (growling) with my pregnant wife when she corrects him. If I enter the situation he submits quickly. My wife and I have never hurt or hit him in any way. Is there something we can do because we are having a baby in a few months and I don’t want my wife to be afraid of him. He only seems to get aggressive with her and a few strangers but over all he is a sweet boy and loves everyone.
