My newly adopted dog is aggressive with my children, going so far as to charge them and nip at them. She hasn't broken the skin, but has bruised a couple times. How should I break this behavior and make her the family pet we are hoping for?

We got our dog from the pound, she was found as a stray. We have had her 3 months and everything was going well until 3 weeks ago. My husband returned to work, so now Tesla has to stay at home all day alone with our two cats. 3 weeks ago, she started turning on my husband. He will be sitting with her beside him petting her, then she tenses up,starts snarling and growling and then comes after him. She has bit him three times. She did the same thing to me this morning before I left for work and bit me on my thumb. I think she is in heat because she is swollen. We are taking her to the vet tonight. Can you please give me some advice as to what to do when she tenses up and starts snarling and tries to bite us? She literally comes after us! Other than that she is a sweetheart. Please help, any advice will help. She has always been very possesive with her toys and has always acted vicious if any of us go near her toys, whether she is playing with them or not.

My puppy is aggressively biting. When I get home in the evenings he is tearing me up. I'm sure it has something to do with my leaving him, but I come home several times throughout the day. This is not simple nipping, he uses his canines and wants to rip the skin off my hands At other times he is sweet and loving.....suggestions please!

Help! We lost our border collie in October and adopted Walt on Jan 25, 2014 and we love him to pieces, but need some help. Trying to potty train ,I will take him out 10-15 times during the day give the command go pee or poop and he Judy's plays, then we come in the house and he does his business ! He hits the potty pads most of the time, but not every time. He is also jumping and nipping at people. Not mean but I am afraid he will cause me or someone else to fall. He was neutered last week and is due his last shot on April 8. I haven't been able to walk him yet, but he doesn't like the leash. Please email me your rates and let us know if you can help. Thank you, Rebecca Robison firstname.lastname@example.org.

I have had my dog for a very long time. She has always been spoiled and picky, but most recently it has gotten worse. It is not that she has no appetite, but she will not eat her dog food. She will only eat the same food I eat and will not eat it unless she watches me eat it first. I know this is partly my fault for spoiling her her her entire life but she has always been good about eating her dog food until this point. I have tried a variety of dog foods, for a long time she was very satisfied by mixing beneful wet dog food in with her dry food, but as of late, this is not good enough for her. How do I break this habit, I do not want to have to starve her!
