What our Clients are saying about us
I was so skeptical to hire a trainer as I expected to get someone who only taught basics like sit and stay. My dogs both have behavioral issues. Scot walked in my door and within 3 seconds he stopped my female from barking which would typically continue for a full 30 minutes. Not a peep out of her for the entire 3 hours. Scot takes the time to listen and assess your needs and teaches you how to change your behavior to illicit the responses you desire in your pets. He's been gone for an hour and a half and I haven't had to reprimand them once since he walked out. I am aware that we have work ahead of us but it's clear that I've gained their attention already! I highly recommend Scot. He was professional and focused and never once promoted hurting or fear based training. Very helpful.Sara V., West Springfield, MassachusettsJuly 19 2017
Scot's training with Casper was amazing. I can not believe how quickly I see the results of stopping Casper's aggression. Casper and I still have work to do together, Scot gave us the tools to succeed. Scot is extremely knowledgeable and explained everything in an understandable manner. I recommend Scot to anyone who has any issue with their dog, no matter how big or small. Thank you ScotPat B., Springfield, MassachusettsApril 28 2017
We called on Scot after over a year of escalating aggressive and distressing behavior by our 3.5 year-old pug. After moving into a new home, when our pug was about 2 years old, he began to showing signs of dominance, aggression and separation anxiety. For example, he perceived anything on our new, large screen TV as a threat, and he would repeatedly run at the wall the TV screen is mounted on, barking and running around the house, sniffing out a mispercieved threat. It got so bad that he was getting overheated from the distress. It got to the point that we could no longer turn on the TV without him going ballistic. This behavior then generealized to images on our laptop computers and smart phones that he would see. When we would try to put him in a separate room so we could watch TV without exposing him to the distress of the TV, he began attacking us as we would try to close the door, say, to our bedroom or office, where we would try to keep him. Additionally, he became increasingly aggressive with us (and anyone) who would try to leave our house -- jumping, barking, nipping and trying to block our exit. To try to remediate these behaviours, which were distressing to our pug as well as everyone in our family, we read books and watched videos online to try to find a fix, but our efforts yielded nothing helpful. Finally, feeling desperate, we stumbled across Scot and Bark Busters online. We were drawn to the in-the-home approach of Bark Busters as well as a number of other features of theirs that seemed more appealing than other options we had researched. Incredibly, after only a few hours of working with Scot, our pug's behaviour (as well as our family's towards him) improved. For the first time in over a year, we can now turn on and watch TV without eliciting a firestorm of barking and distressing behaviour from our pug. While we need to continue to practice and reinforce the techniques/approaches Scot taught us, we finally feel like we are on solid footing in our interaction with our pug. The dynamic between us has been reset. Our only wish is that we had learned these approaches earlier: a lot of stress and frustration could have been saved for all. Still, we are so happy to be where we are now, and we are so very grateful for the kind, knowledgeable and practical approach that Scot brought to training our pug and us -- no doubt the bulk of the education was directed at training us humans how to communicate/interact more effectively with our pug. Scot's thoughtful approach is something we hope more people experience.Heidi B., Boston, MassachusettsMarch 6 2017
Prior to our session, my puppies were essentially ruling the house. They jumped up, didn't listen, and were pretty frustrating to train. All of that changed when Scot walked in; I've never seen anything like it. The education wasn't just for them either; he taught us how to act and think like canines so that we could take control of our home again. Since the session they have done a total 180 and I'm still in shock. Thanks Scot for helping us take back control of our home. It's nice being the alpha...Brittanie K., West Hartford, ConnecticutJanuary 6 2015
Amazing! After 1 lesson, I can walk through the house without my pup biting and nipping at my feet. Scott was very personable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. He explained why my German Shepherd was behaving the way she was, and showed me how to let her know that "I'm in charge!" His methods are extremely effective and simple to follow. It has been one week since Scott's visit, and my coach is more relaxed and doesn't bark at every person walking by my home. Scott taught me how to set boundaries and my dog clearly knows I'm the "Pack Leader" now! You won't be disappointed if you contact Scott.....I highly recommend him!Michelle B., Enfield, ConnecticutJanuary 4 2015

Thank you Scott. It only has been 3 days but we see such an improvement in all 3 dogs. We actually can sit at the table and eat without our German Shepherd trying to steal our food. We don't have to put the trash up high anymore, she lays next to our rabbit's cage with out going crazy. It's so peaceful in the house. All 3 dogs have been doing much better on the barking. With a German Shepherd (5-months old) Chihuahua/Italian greyhound (2-yrs old) and a Chihuahua (6-yrs old) thy seem to get each other barking. Having Scott come to the house was the best thing. He knows what he is talking about and helped us out so much. Very nice guy and easy to talk to. I know if we keep up on the training techniques our dogs will have manners and be happy. Thank you so much Scott. You made our house a happy peaceful house.

Thanks so much Scott!!!
Your training really had an impact! I went and bought Kongs and new beds for all of them yesterday afternoon. We did pretty well with them not sleeping on the bed and the barking has diminished greatly!!!
Much appreciated! I only wish we had met you years ago!!! It is hard work but what a difference!

Thank you so much for your help today. We learned a lot, and the difference it has made is striking. We feel we are much better dogs for having met with you!
Our two fighting dogs laid down together ON THEIR OWN in my sons room this evening for a long time without any problems. We expect that there will be some incidents in the future, but now we have a good idea of how to deal with them.
Thanks again, and we will be in touch as we need more help. If any of our friends need help we will be recommending you.

Scott is very easy to communicate with, and sympathetic to the issues my dog was having. I expressed my dogs issues with severe separation anxiety, and we started working on her issue the minute he walked in the door. His presentation of the lesson was very easily understood and I was learning all along the way. In just one single lessons my dogs entire temperament, attitude, and demeanor had changed. I am very happy withe the results and look forward to working with him...and so does Peanut!
Thank you for the kind words Beth. Although I also noticed immediate results you and I know that we have some more work to do. Let's this going together.

My doggie was about to be returned, when Scot came to my house, performed a miracle, and now I can keep my beautiful girl! The magical connection that Scot has with the world of dogs is amazing. Within 15minutes, Missy Paying attention and obeying. Scot showed me how to be the pack leader, which is what Missy wants and needs to feel safe. I'm so glad that I called Scot. Thank you so much Scot!

I would highly recommend this training to any dog owner that is having issues with their dogs. We have 5 small dogs. The 1st dog we purchased from a breeder and the other 4 are rescue dogs. The last rescue dog named "Pumpkin" arrived 3 weeks ago. She is a 2 year old female West Highlander Mix. We knew we needed professional help when she showed severe signs of aggression and fear. She would snap, lunge and growl at the other dogs. I came to the decision we would have to find another home for the dog or a miracle worker to fix this situation. I was in tears thinking about giving Pumpkin away. We decided we could not give up on the dog because she loves and trusts us already and we love her too. So, we called Bark Busters. When Scot arrived I was a bit nervous because not only was the new dog aggressive and barking at Scot the second he pulled in but, all the dogs were on their absolute worst behavior. A perfect scenario for Scot though. I saw instant results within the first 15 minutes of instruction, and within a few hours, I was amazed that my dogs were actually listening to us. No more jumping on us, no more barking at the doorbell, and the most important to us was no more fighting. We were able to have company this weekend and for the first time in a long time, I was not embarrassed on how much my dogs were barking or begging. I am very happy also with the email support I get from Scot when I have a question. He gets right back to me with an answer. Thanksgiving is certainly going to be a great one this year! Thank you Scot! You are awesome!

I have 2 dogs, a chihuahua mix and a beagle. Both dogs barked at every little noise and would bark continuously when anyone other than "family" was in the house. Within 15 minutes both dogs were quiet and relaxed with no physical interactions or food treats. I was also shown how to walk the little one correctly and be the leader. This program is amazing and so is Scot. I highly recommend him and this program to anyone needing help!!! Really, people, don't wait!

Amazed is the only word to describe this program! Scot is so supportive and patient in guiding me through this ..Can not believe the changes that my dog Spring has made in one session but more importantly how much my understanding is allowing me to become Alpha Dog of the pack and Spring now knows she can relax and be happy that she can hand that job over to me....:)...Highly recommend Scot to anyone looking to develop a better lifelong relationship with their dog. Thanks a million Scot!

If you have gone this far to find out if you should call BarkBuster. DO IT NOW!! ASK FOR SCOTT MASAMERY. Here is my story. I adopted a one year old aussie from the pound. I already have 4 other dogs all were rescues. I NEVER had any sort of problem that I could not manage. Actually i thought i had all the answers and fixes, except for now. The new aussie did not like my husband. Actally she growled, nipped and bit him when ever he move. My husband is away a lot and i assumed that she was protecting me. Needless to say whatever her motive, she was slated to back to the pound. I was devistated. I went on line looking for help and found none. One trainer we called said to "dump her." Another trainer I emailed because they had no phone number listed so it was back and forth with emails and I NEEDED HELP NOW. I called my Vet and his office gave me the number to BARK BUSTERS. So i called. First off I got a recorded massage and had to dial my zip code in then finally a person. Thankfully it was Scot Masamery, the MIRACLE BEGAN. He was great on the phone with me, he knew exactly what i was up against, he knew i was in a time crunch, and said he could come to my home the next day. HE CAME TO MY HOME THE VERY NEXT DAY!!! If he did not do those 2 things, ANSWER THE PHONE AND COME RIGHT OUT TO MY HOUSE the aussie would of gone back to the pound and who knows what would of happened to her. But you and i know as dog owners, if she bit again we all know what would happen next. Scot arrived the next day at 9AM and by 12 noon, there was PEACE in the house for the first time in a long time. The herd including the new aussie had taken me over and Scot helped me reclaim my postion in the pack - HEAD DOG!!! No more biting, growling, fighting. barking. YES IT CAN BE DONE. The work is not over and the training will be on going. But for the few times each day it takes to keep my new aussie respectful and obedient enables me to keep her and provide a nice life that she most likely would not of had...... THE BENEFITS OUTWEIGHT THE COST. I could of never accomplished this type of training by signing up and taking the dog to class. Plus I use what i learned from Scot to help train my other 4 dogs and it's a MIRACLE. BUT IT'S NOT OVER YET. I have access to Scot's expertise at anytime. In a few weeks he is going to come back to my home and help me with the dogs "riding in the car issues". DO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BARK BUSTERS AND SCOT??? ABSOLUTELY. IF YOU ARE STILL A NON BELIEVER PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT SCOT AND I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU AND HIM COME TO MY HOME AND WITTNESS A TRUE MIRACLE. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SCOT.
