Bark Busters Home Dog Training Bergen County NJ
My husband and I contacted Greg to help us get a head start on educating our 9 week old (and very hyper) rescue pup, Abby. Wow were we impressed! By the end of our first session Abby had stopped jumping up, biting, stealing everything in sight, and running in circles around the living room. While his in-home session was excellent, what we have found really impressive is his follow up and responsiveness to questions. Greg reached out a couple of days after our session to check in, and even gave us some tips BEFORE our first session when I texted him in desperation as Abby was tearing around the house like a maniac. Greg also has a great manner and is very easy to work with. The techniques he prescribes are sensible and don't involve any 'punishment' or overindulgence. We also really appreciate that his approach is not just about our puppy, but about educating ourselves so that we can relate to her in a way that she can understand, and which will help us to develop a strong and healthy bond with her. We are so happy with our choice to use Bark Busters, and Greg in particular!Nicola T.February 18 2015

Do you take your dog for a walk or does he walk you? Does his incessant barking and jumping lead you to apologize for his behavior? Wouldn't it be nice (and definitely be more peaceful) if your dog were well behaved?
You have come to the right place: With an initial dog training session and daily reinforcement on your part, you'll have a well-trained and well-adjusted dog in no time.
Training can be fun. Your dog likes the attention and interaction and you will feel a sense of accomplishment as you and your dog form a better relationship and make continued progress. During an initial 2-3 hour visit, I will coach you & your dog through training exercises that are easy to learn and simple to use. You won't need to spend a lot of time practicing each day. During daily interaction with your dog, the techniques I teach you will become second nature and will enable you to maintain your dog's good behavior.
Every dog is an individual with its own personality, temperament and experiences. Each lives in a unique environment...Each situation is different. There is not a one size fits all approach. I will customize a training program with comprehensive, natural, and humane training techniques for you & your dog. When you need support to reinforce your training, I will conduct follow up visits with you.
I've helped thousands of puppy & dog owners during my career, and like them, my goal for you is to improve your relationship with your 4-legged family member.
I can help you understand your dog better, improve your dog's behavior and enjoy your dog more, whether you need basic puppy education or to address complex behavior issues, including:
- Aggression - toward people or other dogs (including Sibling Rivalry)
- Basic obedience commands (sit, stay, come)
- Biting/ Nipping
- Leash pulling
- Toileting problems
- Front Door Manners
- Begging & Attention Seeking
- Destructive Behaviors (chewing, digging)
- Separation Anxiety
...and more. If your dog is doing it, I can teach you how to address it.

how we can help you and your dog
The Bark Busters Home Dog Training Methods helps solve dog behavior issues such as aggression towards people or other animals
- Cure embarrassing habits like barking, jumping up on people, scratching & whining at doors or inappropriate toileting.
- Create an obedient dog or puppy that will happily walk on the lead without tugging, sit or stay on command, and come immediately when called.
- Set off-limit areas for your dog.
- Reduce the stress of separation anxiety without the need for sedatives or drugs.
We teach you to communicate with your pet.
Blah, blah, blah, bad dog! blah blah. Do you think your dog isn't listening to you? Maybe you're simply not speaking his language. You may have heard of dog whisperer or dog listener techniques. The Bark Busters dog training method is based on the way dogs communicate with each other and how they learn from older, more important dogs in the pack. This is what makes our dog training unique and effective.
Why do we train in your home?
Your dog lives with a family, in a home. This is where he misbehaves most often so this is where training is most effective. Dogs learn by association. Bark Busters teaches your dog to listen in the home environment. If he does not listen at home, he will not listen outside your territory.
Training in your home is a one-on-one system without the distraction of other dogs or the stress of being sent away for training.
Of course, where you are experiencing problems outside the home such as pulling on the lead or dog aggression, we will set up controlled training situations in the park or wherever is most practical.
