About Jenny & Jordan

Best Dog Training in Seattle Metro & Eastside King County, WA!
Welcome. We are Jenny and Jordan, your Bark Busters Dog Trainer and Dog Behavioral Therapist in Seattle Metro and Eastside King County.
About Jenny
I've trained dogs for more than 15 years. My first job at age 15 was in a vet clinic in Bellevue, WA and volunteering in Kelsey Creek Park in the summers. My life passion has always been animals. I have been married to my husband, Jeff, for 26 years and we have three boys, six dogs, and three rabbits.
About Jordan
Jordan, my oldest son, is also my business partner. Jordan has grown up watching me train dogs and shares the same passion for animals. Jordan has always watched my training techniques and put them into place with our family dogs and his friend's dogs.
Recently, Jordan and I spent time in Canada in an extensive dog training class with the Bark Busters North American Master Trainer to expand and refine our training techniques.
Each dog we train is a new opportunity to make a difference in a family's life. We consider it an honor to be part of this transformation! You are likely here because you're either a new puppy owner or experiencing some stress with an older dog. No worries, help is on the way!
Immediate results. Bark Busters dog-friendly and kind training methods produce quick results. In fact, it's not unusual to have what were once "out of control dogs" behaving nicely - sitting and waiting calmly, not jumping up and not charging the front door - by the end of the first training session! Puppies can be challenge for new first-time dog owners and experienced dog owners. We’ll partner with you to quickly sort out toilet training, nipping, and all the other frustrations that are part of puppyhood.
Dog-friendly methods. Bark Busters does not use physically or mentally abusive training methods. We also don't use treats as the primary motivator. Instead, we show you how to apply the natural and quick strategies that dogs use themselves to influence each other. These strategies are easy to learn and you'll quickly establish yourself as the leader and the object of your dog's love, respect, and obedience.

Eastside King County Client Reviews

While our dogs have minor behavioral problems compared to really aggressive dogs, we have noticed a great improvement with the techniques she has shown us. We have seen great improvements when it comes to rushing at the front door, barking at any little noise, fighting over food and toys, and especially walking on the leash. My older dog had gotten into a fight with my mom's dog over a toy as well as my friend's dog without being provoked. That was the tipping point to getting professional help. That has not happened since as we have learned the tools to intervene and prevent it as soon as we see warning signs. The techniques have also applied well to all other dog interactions we have had. Now, he can play with both of the dogs he had previous issue with without any worry.
My older dog also had a horrible fear of the Roomba to the point where we couldn't use it because he would get bloody diarrhea from stress. Working with Jenny helped us relieve his stress and we can now use it with minimal fuss or concern from him. We had tried everything before that the vet had recommended (mainly putting treats on the Roomba to get a good association and trying to run it until he got used to it) and it wasn't until Jenny's help that we were able to get him calm.
She has also helped us with his separation anxiety and he now walks perfectly on the leash. She has helped with general behavior training with both of our dogs. Like any type of training, consistency is key and relaxing for too long will allow them to fall back into bad habits. I found that my verbal corrections stopped working with my older dog when I was relaxing with the rest of his training. It's all correlated.
With Jenny's help, training my puppy has been so much easier than I thought it would be. We have gotten her to come to us when called significantly faster than our older dog. She is not without her challenges as she is much more strong-willed than our older dog.
Jenny is great. She is kind, caring to our dogs, and very educational. We really appreciate all that she has done to help us and our dogs. They are less stressed and much happier knowing where they are in the pack as are their humans.
Jordan came out and by the end of the first session, I noticed a massive difference. I couldn't believe it. I knew working 1:1 with a pro would be what we needed and I was right.
The 2 weeks after Jordan left would be the trial but with the information Jordan gave us, we noticed a significant difference in the pups. We know there is probably a ton of information he can pass on to us but we have to take it in bite size pieces to not overwhelm us and the pups. But with that we were taught, they started reacting positively to it and listening to us. They weren't barking at the neighbor dog as much. They were giving us space. Even our friend who came over noticed a difference compared to when they used to overwhelm him by jumping up.
Our next training will take us to the dog park with Jordan to help us socialize the dogs and get them to a point where they can play with other dogs and not be aggressive to them.
We purchased the lifetime plan for both of our pups because we knew we would be moving over seas in a year or two and luckily there are trainers in the UK as well.
Dog yourselves (and your pups) a life changing favor and invest in them. It has already made a huge difference for US to know what to do and for THEM to understand.
Thank you very much for visiting us today.
This evening, we went for a walk to Marymoor as usual. I have to tell you, this was the first time he didn't pull the leash since we adopted him in February. We even passed other dogs but he didn't rush toward them. It's unreal.
We will keep practicing and I can feel that one day soon he will do this without effort. I'm so proud of him.
Thank you again.

With 2 very simple tips from Jack, in a very short period of time, less than an hour, my dog would sit outside the designated greeting area in the front hall, quiet as a mouse, would stay there until Jack and I proceeded out of sight, into the kitchen, until I called him to join me. Amazing! A few days later at the home of one of my kids, after only one reminder he sat quietly outside the slider door, just watching us inside. Before, he had jumped and barked and barked. What a transformation! He still barks when he hears someone outside (which I want him to do) but once I join him in the front hall he is quiet and sits outside the greeting area.
So simple! So quick! So amazing!
Jack and his training methods are unbeatable!
Thanks Jack!
We met with Jack after we had Brody for a week, within the first 10 minutes of our introduction I knew we were going to continue to see Jack. His methods have blown us away! The difference in how Brody interacts with our son and us is a complete 180, they are now able to play together and the biting has stopped... in ONE DAY of training! Granted, at times he needs to be reminded of proper puppy behavior, but all in all it's incredible!
We cannot wait to continue our sessions with Jack as Brody gets bigger, you can tell that Jack loves what he does and is more than willing to be patient with not only the owners crazy questions, but your fur baby as well. I would recommend Jack Knudsen to anyone around the East Side that is looking for someone to help with any number of issues you could be experiencing!
Thank you Jack, well worth every penny!
The Litz Family
I came into this experience being very skeptical since we have two pretty stubborn dogs. By the end of the first session we had two completely different dogs and two completely new humans. After we took control back, our dogs learned to trust us and rely on us for things instead of having them be in charge of the house.
We have seen great progress since Jack has helped us. We now are able to sit in peace and quiet throughout the day instead of having them bark 24/7 at every little sound. When people come to the door now it's much more manageable! Our dogs are just overall happy campers now and able to just relax and be dogs while we can relax too. It's not as stressful when people come over and we aren't constantly dreading all of the neighbors making noise or the doorbell ringing.
Jack has definitely made a difference in the way things are around our house and we can't wait until our second session with him! We've learned so much already and we can't wait to see what we can learn next!
My dog was having problems with aggression, biting and jumping. Even though she is a very young dog, I had significant concerns about her future with these patterns. From the first phone call I encountered nothing but positive support. On the phone they told me this pattern could be changed and that they had programs I could work with that would assure a better outcome for the dog. They worked with me to schedule a consultation quickly but also around my schedule and in my neighborhood so that we could assess and work on problem areas. The most wonderful thing about meeting and working with Jack Knudsen is that he was able to immediately see my dog, who I loved, as a good dog and as a dog with the capacity to make positive changes. I really appreciated this and his calm and positive approach. He definitely has experience with all kinds of dogs and their good and bad traits and he tailored our training session around our needs. He gave us simple techniques and exercises that were very easy to implement right away and very effective. In a very short period of time, our dog Lucky, has made great changes and is now really the wonderful dog that we always knew she could be! I would highly recommend the Bark Busters program and Jack especially. I am so happy with our training outcome! Jack, I cannot thank you enough! - Kathy Schahrer, Bellevue WA
