Welcome, I am Kayla Corey, your Bark Busters dog trainer and behavioral therapist in Boston North. As a former Bark Busters client myself, I'm excited and passionate about helping you develop a balanced and respectful relationship with your dog!

I've had dogs all my life - and owned many breeds from Chihuahuas to German Shepherds! After having some sibling rivalry issues with two female dogs and called Bark Busters for help - I saw immediate changes in their behavior using the Bark Busters methods. I was so impressed I knew I needed to follow my passion and become a Bark Busters dog behavioral therapist! 

After years of working with west coast families and their dogs, I've returned back to the east coast. Now living and working near my hometown, I can help families from Northern Boston to Southern New Hampshire, and along the Mass and NH coast, to live happier lives together with their dogs!

Our dog’s breed: Some mix of herder (Aussie/Border/Whatever else). 50 pounds. Gentle, smart, intense, AND has an overwhelming territorial aggression. Will attack visitors.
First off this will sound like a fake testimonial, but after *one lesson* with Randy we have control of our dog’s intensive aggression toward people coming to our house. This is a situation that has basically kept us (and our college age kids) from inviting anyone over, ever. Levi would instantly attack and go for the bite. Randy helped us understand dog brain and instead of using devices to try to break the behavior, Randy used Levi’s natural instincts help us establish dominance and control. Randy gave us strategies based on our particular needs and living space. The strategies are easy to use and remember and are humane. It is day 2 and we’ve had two unfamiliar visitors already. We used Randy’s strategies and Levi was calm and in control and looking to us for direction. If I didn’t see it I wouldn’t believe it. At first, I outright told Randy I was skeptical and didn’t think anything would work. He said I’d see results after one lesson and he delivered big time. This was a life-changer—no exaggeration. If you are hopeless about your aggressive dog *hire these trainers.*

After trying multiple rounds of group training without my issues being resolved, I reached out to Bark Busters after hearing about them from a friend. I just had my first training session with Randy and am feeling way more relieved. He kept the training fun and engaging, while also making necessary corrections to both myself and Hunter. For anyone with a new dog or a dog that needs some training (without treats) Bark Busters Home Dog Training Boston North is DEFINITELY the people you need! I did not believe you could train a dog without treats until Randy came to our home for the initial training. My Riley had the basic training in the past, but we were still having a lot of issues (and barking) that made it unbearable when we had guests over and she was a very reactive dog while on her walks. I am telling you right now! It's been less than a week and I can already see a HUGE improvement! My Riley is a completely different dog! She listens, is patient and less reactive! She's still her lovable self! I have learned that she LOVES training...she thrives off of it! And in return she's more confident! I can't say enough good things about Bark Busters! Where do I begin?! Just 4 weeks ago my Husband and I thought we would have to put our Furbaby Son down. Due to an unfortunate situation that caused him to act inappropriately out of fear. Instantly when we met Kayla, I knew she was THE ONE for our situation. She instantly made it feel that everything was going to be alright. Just days before we were sobbing thinking there would be no other choice than having to put our beloved dog down. By the end of our first meeting with Kayla, we noticed a huge difference in our Dogs demeanor. After just four weeks he's a completely different dog. He's 80% less anxious. He listens to us. He looks up to us as his leaders already. For once, I see a light at the end of a long winding tunnel. For once we see our lives being less isolated. We were in crisis with our new rescue dog as soon as we got home from picking up 1 year old Charlie. We reached out to Bark Busters at 3am on Christmas Eve and received a phone call first thing the day after Christmas. Kayla was at our home the next evening. Charlie was loving my wife but aggressive toward me. One session with Kayla and we were sure Charlie could love all of us. Kayla gave us the knowledge to understand Charlie and to correct his behavior. A lot of work still to do but the fear and anxiety we all had (including Charlie) is significantly diminished. Kayla has been wonderful! I’ve completed two sessions with her and have seen a huge difference in my dog’s confidence with sit and stay and on leash! Before bark busters I was anxious to have my dog around new people or even people my dog has met before and my dog was also anxious to be around new people
I knew my dog wasn’t “aggressive” but I didn’t know how to help his or my anxiety
He would nip at people without any noticeable trigger and became unpredictable with people and his actions

We called Bark Busters in a panic after our 3 year old dog Dallas was not adjusting well to our newborn. From training one we have felt so comfortable and confident with the training Kayla has shown us. Our dog received the absolute bare minimum of puppy training and we really thought that we just had to live with his behavioral issues (excessive barking, reactions to other dogs and anxiety) and lack of obedience. We rescued our puppy Swayze from Mississippi. As anyone who rescues can tell you, you never really know what you’re pups behaviors with be. Swayze had started to become very territorial on walks and within our home. Living in a dog filled apartment complex we found ourselves avoiding people with their dogs and not having company at the house. That was when we reached out to Bark Busters.
Kayla came and heard about our issues and saw them in affect. She explained to us why these things were happening and helped us navigate a path towards correcting them. The best part was that all the training techniques were molded to work with our everyday life. After only 3 visits with Kayla Swayze has become a completely different pup in all the best ways. Kayla even met us at a public park to see her progress on walks. Kayla helped show us how to introduce new people into our home and now we are no longer hesitant to have company over. It's been a mere 36 hours since Randy visited our home to start our training plan for Maverick (9 y/o lab) and SkyWalker (14 m/o boxer) to become the best dogs they can be and the improvement we've seen already has been life changing. Really - we saw the change and positive responses from our pups the very next morning - in both their behavior and our relationships with them. Barking, jumping, rushing for food/treats, separation anxiety and more were making it difficult to fully enjoy our beautiful babies. The good in them is great. The bad in them was horrific but Randy and his system WORK! I was skeptical about teaching our old dog new tricks... But Randy listened to our needs and provided practical guidelines and tools that are productive, nurturing, safe and effective. We can't wait for the next training session and we will NEVER look anywhere else for help with our dogs!

I cannot say enough about how positive our experience has been so far. Randy came to visit us last night and we saw immediate results.
