Within two hours of meeting me and my very reactive dog, Mike had made incredible strides with my dogs behavior. My dog is extremely reactive, he tries to attack every dog we see and pretty much every human we see too. Let alone his separation anxiety, which is also off the charts. I have worked with trainers before and never saw this large of an impact, let alone this quickly. Mike is a miracle worker!!!! Mike is not a dog trainer, he is a dog psychologist and he can do more for you and your dog than any trainer will ever be able to. He is making an incredible difference in a dog that trainers gave up on. His expertise is truly unmatched. Can not recommend him enough.
We've been working with Mike and Cassidy for a few months now and we saw a positive change in our dogs behavior immediately following the first session with them. We unfortunately lost one of our dogs shortly after starting with them and they were amazing working with us. Boomer no longer rushes the front door or guests, he respects designated spaces in the house and has greatly improved with pulling on the leash and his reactivity.
Cassidy and Mike were absolute lifesavers and worth the investment! They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. My rescue was experiencing severe separation anxiety and incessantly howling. I was getting multiple noise violations from my apartment building. Despite their full calendar they not only squeezed me in their schedule, but gave me a list of techniques to start implementing immediately to start addressing the anxiety. Within the first few days I noticed a difference and continuing to practice them has only expedited the progress. They really focus on the behavioral changes for long lasting results as opposed to temporary fixes. I highly recommend Mike and Cassidy for anyone considering dog training- they are worth it!
Cassidy and Mike are Wonderful Pet Trainers. Cassidy showed me how to use other ways for Kobe(my pit bull dog 4yrs old) to be more efficient with commands. She was also able to explain anything that I needed to change my approach with Kobe.
With it only being a week…Kobe is even more amazing than before.
I would love to say that I would recommend:tell everyone about Bark Buster’s.
They’re really great with scheduling appointments…also they will come out to your place to make easier for the pet and owner.😘🥰
I give them 5✨🏆🥇thank you guys.🥰🥰
Our shelter dog was a 3yo boxer mastiff with zero training when we adopted him. He was mouthy and difficult to walk. We were nervous if he would be the right fit for our son, but we hired Mike and Cassidy and they worked their magic!! Instantly, Mike was able to "master control" of our dog and demonstrated his ability to provide guidance during the training process. It took some months of practice but we've seen a night and day change in our dog. He no longer pulls on the leash. Walks along side us and seeks permission to walk ahead. He's extremely docile. No longer mouthy. Great on a leash. Sleeps at my feet. No longer appears threatening at all. We are BEYOND happy and impressed. Well worth the investment!!
My dog Frankie is a rescue from the streets of Puerto Rico. He is my ninth dog. He has also been the most difficult of all my dogs to train. I have had Frankie for over two years. He’s smart, and he tests me constantly, ignoring commands, playing ‘catch me if you can’ and basically ruling the house. I was going to hire a dog trainer, but Frankie already knows all of his commands, but follows them on his terms, not mine. If I have food in my hands, he listens to every word. He becomes a straight ‘A’ student for chicken jerky. Without food, he does what he wants. We really didn’t need a ‘trainer’. We needed more.
After doing some research, I called Bark Busters. I spoke to a knowledgeable young man who gave me hope as I made an appointment for a visit from one of their therapists. I hired Bark Busters to help me take control of my topsy turvy, fragile relationship with my dog. Bark Busters Behavioral therapists don’t spend time on reinforcing verbal commands. Instead, they taught me how to communicate in dog language and behaviors that my dog would comprehend and respect.
In walks Cassidy, into my home, with a confidant smile and a personality to match. With instruction and demonstrations, she taught me how to execute behavioral changes without the need for treats, or negative reinforcement. Within three hours, my Frankie was transforming right in front of my eyes. Cassidy not only changed my dog, but transformed me, as well. The knowledge she delivered was above and beyond that of a dog trainer. It was more of a counseling session with role playing that helped me understand my dog and for him to understand me.
By the time Cassidy left my home, I had the foundation for building a truly amazing relationship with my dog. Frankie and I, with Cassidy’s help, began a journey that we build upon everyday through the planning and accompanying homework I was given. Cassidy has been right there along side us through this continuing journey. She checks in with us regularly, is always available to answer questions or make suggestions, and continually pays us visits to see how things are going. During her visits, Frankie and I get beneficial pointers that continue to strengthen our bond.
I am 71 years old. Frankie will probably be my last dog. Because of Cassidy, I no longer worry about reactive behavior, or being ignored when I don’t have a treat in my hand. I don’t worry about Frankie escaping from the house or pulling me to chase a squirrel or run to say hi to another dog. Because of Cassidy, my dog is confidant in what I am asking of him. He has learned how to relax. He wants to please me. He LISTENS and is self-assured as to what I expect from him. In turn, I have a well-adjusted, calm, and much happier companion.
Cassidy’s expertise and vast understanding of dog language and behaviors is worth every penny. The philosophy of Bark Busters and their dog friendly ability to change behaviors are incredible. I am, as I’m sure you can tell from this long winded review, amazed by the results Frankie and I have experienced. You will be too.
We worked with Cassidy after our 80lb dog Bruno nipped at our 10 month old. We had the most incredible experience from start to where we are now with Cassidy (until more life changes happen!) Bruno is a good boy who had a bad day so he took to the training seamlessly, he just needed adjust to our new lifestyle and we needed to be the ones to correct him and keep him calm so he can live his best life. And Bruno is happier for it! You guys are the best and I am so thankful!
Mike and Cassidy have been amazing. They obviously love dogs. They give clear , logical, helpful guidance for training dogs to be good citizens. Cassidy was very helpful when I needed assistance with my wonderful but reactive dog, who has been very difficult to walk. They have weekly group dog walks which have been a great bonus. I recommend them both for fabulous dog training!!!
We when first brought Hugo home from the rescue we knew we needed guidance. Our second French Bulldog but our first adopted young adult dog, we had little idea what his previous life looked like. One call to our vet for help, led us to Michael. Within 15 minutes of his first visit Michael was already making headway and the results were kind of unbelievable. Hugo went from jumping three feet in the air and barking his lungs out to a completely docile, calm pup. What kind of Voo-Doo was this? None actually. Michael’s simple suggestions, observations to behavior and tips that we could follow ourselves were what made the difference. Michael took the time to not only explain and show us what needed to be done but also included our children in the discussion. The paperwork the rescue provided us upon adoption told the tale of a young Frenchie, who was passed around to boarding facilities and doggie daycares and whose aggressive behavior reflected that. Michael’s gentle and humane methods helped us bring out the good boy who had been in there all along. I’ve been recommending him to everyone I know but especially those who think their adult dogs are too old to be helped. The truth is you can teach old dogs new tricks.

Cassidy has done an amazing job with our two dogs Luna and Snooker. They have very different personalities and challenges, and we really appreciate Cassidy's expertise and ability to flexibly adjust the style for each dog individually. Snooker is still a puppy and Cassidy has checked in many times to see how we're doing and if we have any questions. I like the business model that her and Mike have, because I don't feel pressured to get everything in by an 'end date' of training. Instead I just feel that we have this support for as long as we need it. Cassidy is extremely knowledgable about her business, but also takes a pragmatic, realistic approach, which we have super appreciated. Very happy with our experience so far!
