Welcome! I am Damon Britton, your Bark Busters Dog Trainer and Dog Behavioral Therapist in Round Rock. If you have a misbehaving dog, I have been in your shoes. My wife and I adopted an English Staffordshire terrier from a rescue center who was out of control. We seriously considered re-homing him because no type of training could curb his behaviors. And believe me we tried! It wasn't until we called Bark Busters were we able to totally transform Bubba's behavior.

This experience was life changing for me, because I decided to join the Bark Busters dog training team as well and I am now a Master Trainer for Bark Busters Round Rock. I have worked as a volunteer with shelters all of my life and it broke my heart to see dogs abandoned because of problem behaviors.

Now I have the solution and I am confident I can apply this method to your dog as well. With a little bit of practice and establishing yourself as the 'leader of the pack', your relationship with your dog will totally change.

I teach you how to communicate with your dog. Dogs learn how to communicate with each other as a member of a pack when they are first born. That's why it's so important you don't remove a puppy from its Mom before eight weeks. Dogs learn to talk to each other using voice tones and body language! The sounds of their growl or bark, the stance of their legs, the fur on their backs, and the position of their tail are all indicators. Bark Busters teaches you to communicate with your dogs using voice tones and body language, exactly how dogs naturally converse.

I only use positive methods. You don't see a puppy's Mama handing out treats when one of her litter has done something good. Conversely, you don't see her using shock collars or prong collars. That's exactly why Bark Busters uses only positive, natural humane methods. Also, hitting a dog can breed further aggression.

You will see immediate results. Our first lesson will last approximately 2 - 3 hours and give me time to observe your dog in his own 'den'. Our training is conducted in your home because this is where most issues occur and where your dog is most comfortable. Together we'll develop a customized plan to address YOUR dog's specific issues. I had the great opportunity to work with Damon from Bark Busters to help with my dog Tobi with training. Damon is a really great instructor with clear communication and very informative. The session focused on getting to the root cause of some of the habits Tobi was doing such as his separation anxiety, barking and demands. Most of the other training methods I tried did not focus on this, and this is one big differentiator.

The lesson was structured very well, and did not feel too long or too short. It had specific exercises to help alleviate the issues we are trying to control. The training method they use is different and is focused on communicating with your dog. This is another reason why I was really interested and impressed with this type of training.

I was really impressed with the effectiveness of this training. After going through just a few days of the training which Damon showed us, Tobi was adjusting really quick. It was impressive to see our dog change his behavior after the first day, and also progressively get better over the next few days.

I would definitely recommend this service to anyone who is looking to train their dog or look for help on separation anxiety/barking. It is exceptional!

Hey there! So, let me tell you about this absolute wizard of a trainer named Damon over at Bark Busters. Last Thursday Damon came to visit me and my 7-month-old furball, Kaya, for our first training session. I was armed with skepticism and a plethora of chew toys. Fast forward just a week later, and I'm not only a believer, but I'm also considering nominating Damon for some kind of dog whisperer award.
Let's talk results, shall we? Before Damon worked his magic, Kaya was giving my hands more love bites than a vampire in a blood bank. Seriously, I was starting to feel like a chew toy with legs. But lo and behold, after just one week of Damon's expert guidance, Kaya has suddenly realized that my fingers are not, in fact, chicken nuggets. It's been four whole days since I've had to pry her jaws off my hand, and let me tell you, it's like winning the lottery for pet parents.
But it's not just about the absence of teeth marks; it's about the whole package. Damon didn't just teach me how to teach Kaya not to chew on me like I'm made of bacon; he equipped me with the tools and know-how to communicate with her effectively. From understanding her body language to setting boundaries, Damon's insights have turned me into the alpha of our little pack (or at least, that's what I like to tell myself as Kaya zooms around the house).

Damon is absolutely the best!!! He is the most patient and kind trainer. I was blown away by his knowledge of dog behavior and just watching how both of my girls responded to him. I felt completely at ease asking any questions that came up and trying all training techniques with him present. I have a 7 year old female mixed breed and just rescued a 2 year old chihuahua. The 7 year old has had some trouble adjusting to not being the only dog in the house. She is a bit jealous and the new rescue really hasn’t had any training. She was a barker, was partially potty trained and has really severe separation anxiety. I turned to Damon because I clearly needed help. It was amazing to see how both of my dogs responded to me without treats or punishment on the very first day of training. We are working on training daily and being consistent and it has made all the difference. The 2 yr old has not had a single accident in the house since our initial training session and she has gone to doggy daycare successfully! We are still working on barking, but she is MUCH better. Peace has returned to our house and it is great!! I couldn’t be more thankful and do not regret my choice at all!!

My spouse and I Javier came across several different trainer's and started working with them. It was not the best experience at all, in fact it was terrible, but the most frustrating part was not having the proper guidance for Astro. It really crushed us.. Javier and I were done! Milky Way and Reba had initial training on claiming space, doorways, jumping, barking, potty issues. I’m pleased with our first visit. They understand what I expect and I think they feel better and more confident already. They seem to like my sudden ability to speak dog. lol. Damon was absolutely amazing! My husband and I feel so much more prepared to work with our beloved pup, Crowley, after our first session! We have tried regular trainers on multiple occasions for Crowley's behavioral issues but were at a loss. Damon did a great job during our session, which actually end up with us being trained, not the dogs! He explained in detail how to communicate effectively with our girls, and we have seen dramatic improvement in their behavior, simply because we understand each other so much better. They now see my husband and I as the "alphas" in the house, and follow our leads. Recall has been a massive issue with us, but after the session we had they are already responding so much better! After our first session with Damon, we started seeing immediate results with the way our dog was responding to us. He was no longer jumping on me, not being as demanding, and his demeanor began changing within a week. My two dogs had an immediate same-day response to the training that's only gotten better with practice. We have only had our first visit with Damon and it was less than 24 hours ago. I was at the end of my rope with one my dogs aggression towards the others and wasn't sure what we were going to have to do and my heart was breaking. Another one of our dogs is a bit older and barks a lot, the last is a 5 month old puppy, so i dont have to explain her issues. They are all large breed. Damon explained everything so clearly to us in our home so we have the instructions to correct their behaviors. We know we have work to do to keep their progress going but we are absolutely stunned at how much our 3 dogs have started listening more and behaving better, literally night and day.
