Welcome. I am Steve Agocs, your local Bark Busters dog trainer in Oxford Valley and Philadelphia. While in the process of researching business opportunities, a new dog came into my life and made the household a little bit happier. Cody, a Great Pyrennees, was found limping along a highway somewhere in Tennessee, brought to a vet who treated his broken knee, and was living with a foster family (who also owned other Pyrenees) in Massachusetts. We were approved for his adoption, and the Great Pyrenees rescue organization arranged for his delivery to us in Langhorne. Cody now feels very content in his new "pack."
Having rescued all of the dogs that I previously owned and training each of them to understand the rules of the new house, it all fell into place when the Bark Busters opportunity presented itself. Here was a business that allowed me to work with man's best friend and the chance to do something I believe in: preventing otherwise good pets from being needlessly abandoned or destroyed for lack of training.
As a dog behavioral therapist and trainer, I can evaluate a dog's unwanted behavior, determine its underlying cause, and stop that behavior by training the dog (and teaching the owners how to communicate more effectively with their dog), all in the dog's home. The training methods are completely non-physical, stressing natural canine instincts and communication.
I also educate the owners so that they understand how to relate better to their dogs so they can then experience the joy and harmony of having obedient, relaxed dogs in their family. My goal is to help create happier homes with happy dogs as well-adjusted family members.
